Sex & Nudity

  • Esmeralda wears a large skirt with a slit that often almost reveals her crotch. Watch closely during her first dance, and you can barely see a piece of her white panty in a couple of frames.
  • Very mild romance.
  • Frollo assaults Esmeralda for her beauty.

Violence & Gore

  • A man's parents are said to have died by a plague.
  • A man takes a staff from Quasimodo, who doesn't know he's being fooled and attacks him for it.
  • A man attempts to kidnap Esmeralda, who is later tripped over by a goat. Quasimodo punches a man who is about to save Esmeralda.
  • Three kids throw small rocks at Quasimodo.
  • A man stabs Phoebus in the back, and there is a very brief sight of little blood (very unusual for a kids' cartoon). Phoebus falls into water and is presumed dead, but he is actually seen alive later.
  • Frollo assaults Esmeralda for her beauty, mostly by grabbing her arms and trying to take her with him.
  • A man attempts to stab Quasimodo, who hits him but is then hit by another man's club and falls unconscious.
  • Phoebus and his guards fight Frollo's guard with swords.

Profanity

  • Very few uses of call names like "stupid" and "scoundrel".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are very few scenes that can be little intense for a direct-to-video cartoon for kids, particularly the stabbing of Phoebus.
