The Queen of Comedy rocks the House!
civicsri22 December 2001
Almost ten years after her thought-provoking, smash-hit one-woman-show, Miss Sandra Bernhards delivers another tour-de-force performance in this, her second great off-Broadway comedy show!

Shot on location in San Francisco by Academy Award winning cinematographer Haskell Wexler and directed by Marty Callner (who also directed Sandy on Broadway), this live recording is just entertaining, hilariously funny and utterly enchanting. Sandy herself (eight months pregnant in a transparent dress!) is surprisingly charming and witty at the same time. Her critique of the "phony bitches in this business" brings it just right to the point: "Women like Joni Mitchell, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett and others created the road! There was no road before them! They did things that would break those little bitches in half!"

To those of you who don't know Sandra: Watch "The King of Comedy" and "Without You I'm Nothing" first and enjoy this one afterwards. You will not be disappointed! She truly is the first name in comedy today! Just as a fellow comedian once said about her: "She is like jazz; she has created her own beat."
