Subversive means garbage for this one Warning: Spoilers
"Der geile Wotan" or "The Lascivious Wotan" is a really short movie from 1971 and the last filmmaking effort by late Austrian director Otto Muehl, who still lived for four decades afterward, but (according to IMDb) did not make any more films. He sure went out on a low note here as we see basically nothing but a bunch of people naked and having sex for slightly under two minutes. There is no sound (at least not in the version I saw) and this plus the fact that it was black-and-white also resulted in the impression that this was a film that could have been way way older actually, from the really early days of film. But in fact it is not even 50 years old by now. Anyway, not too many have heard of Muehl I guess, but I read that Kurt Kren also worked on this one and he is certainly a more known name. But this film obviously does not say anything positive about him either. No plot, no story, no acting. Just sex. And not really aesthetic either. Oh and don't mistake this for one of the uncountable German/Austrian sex comedies from the 1970s. This one here is an experimental movie. A really bad one though. Stay far far away.
