Barely qualifies as a proper movie

Warning: Spoilers
BACK ROAD DINER is a dreadful 'blaxploitation' style indie thriller about a quartet of black guys who decide to leave New York behind them for a rural vacation-cum-road trip. They arrive at a diner which turns out to be inhabited by redneck yokels and the story begins properly there. Not that there is much story in this lame Troma-released effort. Half of the running time is padded out with endless flashbacks that feature ample topless nudity from female extras and absolutely nothing else. The thrills are non-existent and this barely qualifies as a proper feature.

FOUR GUYS IN A CAR
nogodnomasters11 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Four men, friends from childhood leave the confines of Harlem for white rural America. Most of the film is consumed with the guys talking in the car with flashbacks that generally involved bad writing and good nudity. About an hour into the film they arrive at a diner (if you haven't forgotten the title by then). They stay there for about five minutes, leave and then get pulled for DWB.

The film opens with a Troma introduction. It includes fun facts, which really weren't that fun, except for the topless girl in the background. There is some blood, but none of the grotesque special effects we expect from a Troma video.

1 star on the Troma scale.

An interesting film

This film really isn't all that bad. Almost nobody has heard of it outside of Bleveskovolokia. It's about a group of middle aged black men that are going on a trip out of harlem. It has some of the qualities of Easy Rider but it's for a very different audience. The dialogue that goes on in this film was very realistic, well done, and interesting. It's by no means a great film but I'm sure there are some people out there who would really love it and get a lot from it. It's definitely far better then a lot of the mainstream trash produced these days.
