Sex & Nudity

  • The plot is about a man who seeks answers and revenge against the man he blames for having possibly given him HIV during a single homosexual encounter in the past. Casual sexual encounters are discussed extensively. There are several silent flashback scenes in a gay bar/nightclub where men are seen kissing, and offscreen sexual activity is implied. No nudity.

Violence & Gore

  • One man assaults another who is trying to leave his apartment, then ties him up and holds him captive. There are subsequent fights between the two as the captive man tries to escape, including one scene in which a large knife is brandished and another in which one of the men is strangled with a telephone cord.

Profanity

  • Some profanity, including a number of angry outbursts that result in longer strings of profanity.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • There are multiple scenes set in bars where characters are seen drinking. The two main characters are also seen drinking liquor in an apartment, with one of them appearing to get drunk.
  • One character refers to his past episodes of drunk behavior and drug use.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man is forcibly injected with a syringe to draw blood.
  • A man starts a kitchen fire on a stove in an attempt to draw attention to the apartment with smoke.
  • An offscreen fatal car accident is discussed, and the victim is shown driving prior to the crash.
