The arcade port rules
The_Light_Triton13 December 2007
When a game is made, it's sometimes best to stay where it came from. what i mean to say is, pac-man should've stayed in the arcade, Primal rage should've stayed in the arcade, and the star wars game should have too.

well, there's not much to comment on. it's just a point and shoot game. point your gun, and shoot the metal things. don't shoot your allies...move on.

this game is more fun in the arcade, because you can dual-wield the guns with-out trouble, although i admit it's really hard to aim with dual guns. but like they say, practice makes perfect.

bottom line, this game is an excellent movie to game port. however, try to stay away from the 4th generation console ports.

Good game (takes long time to finish)
war_cat224 October 2000
I remember me and my brother playing this game for like 2 hours in a row at the 'O' in Pittsburgh. We had a blast but man it was hard to shuffle around in our pockets quick enough to get the quarters in the machine. The farther you get in the game the shorter your quarters take you. But the game is a blast. The T800's that come at you are very detailed and it is fun gunning them down. It's also kinda funny when you shot your allies (who are hiding behind boxes) in their backs. :) I rated it like an 8 out of 10.

T2: The arcade game
dee.reid14 February 2008
I never played "Terminator 2: The Arcade Game" in the arcades hardcore; I think I played it once while I was on vacation at Virginia Beach, but that was over 10 years ago. I've since had the game on both Sega Genesis and Sega Game Gear. As the title would give away, it's a spin-off of the hugely successful movie "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" (1991). Basically in this game, it's a side-scrolling point-and-shoot at Skynet's endless armies of mechanized killing machines in the wastelands of the post-apocalyptic future, and be careful to not accidentally shoot your human allies. And that's pretty much it.

The game is swift and action-packed, and there's a lot to shoot at, so don't worry about becoming bored during game-play. Only problem is, the battles can be a little too intense and so at certain points you're overwhelmed with so many things to blast at on the screen. With that said, I've never completed the game because it's always "game over" by the second to last stage.

But anyway, "Terminator 2: The Arcade Game" is a sufficient shooter - no more, no less.

Judgement Day Arcade Grade: Excellent!
Xarathos3 November 2003
I remember playing this with a fist full of quarters with my friend Tim back at the Lincoln Heights Pizza place. We played all the way to the end but never beat it. It consists of a fighting Skynet in the future, going up against the Exo(endo?)skeletons and having stuff thrown at you from and you have too shoot back. As it moves along you have to ward off HK (Hunter Killers) from a beat up truck as it races towards Skynet and then you have to fight Skynet itself. Though after seeing what SKynet was supposed to look like on the Ultimate T2 disk, I am underwhelmed by its appearance. After that it takes you to the modern day to rescue John Conner. Some similarities there, but you have to go to Cyberdyne and stop the T1000 in the helicopter. The part at the very end is where the movie itself ends. I believe the trick was to defeat the T1000 the same way it was beat in the movie, but I didn't grasp that concept when we were plowing through it. Just don't let the T1000 get John. ALl in all, an arcade classic to me. A word to the wise:'Keep away from the Sega Genesis version. THe gun doesn't work and it's terrible.' If I had the money I might buy one of these T2 games for myself.

Great action game!
EISMediaGroup3 August 2017
I used to play this game in the arcades for hours. I finally beat it playing alone one Saturday night and it was extremely satisfying. It's difficulty made it a true arcade classic. For me, the realistic action sequences along with the true-to-life graphics made it one of my all-time arcade favorites. I found it particularly enjoyable to play because of the original T:2 Judgement Day actors reprising their roles in this game. Overall, this game is one of the great all-time arcade shooters.

Terminator 2: The Arcade Game is a fantastic and enjoyable game, the game has action, good music and great graphics. The game play is easy to pick up just shoot the enemies on the screen and reach the end of the level. The game has a multi-player so two can play this awesome game, the game follows the film Terminator 2: Judgement Day except their's a few more levels in the Future. You can get this game on the retro consoles such as the MegaDrive (Genesis), SNES, Gameboy and MS-DOS.

Terminator 2: The Arcade Game is a classic arcade shooter that doesn't disappoint with the action, this game is one to be played. 10/10

Great game
Rautus29 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
There are two Terminator 2 games which are Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Termiantor 2: The Arcade Game. Termiantor 2: Judgment Day is a platform game and Terminator 2: The Arcade Game is an arcade shooter, both of them are great. I've got this game on the NES but you can get it on other consoles, the game play as you playing as The Terminator as you go through five levels that are based on the film. You have missions to do on each level, their not that complicated for example on level 1 all you need to do is go into the bar and take the clothes from the biker but you get bikers attacking you along the way. Level 2 has you on the bike shooting the truck so it doesn't run you down and dodging obstacles in your way plus shooting gates open. On the levels when you get a gun you can't kill people so you have to kneel down and shoot them in the legs.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day is a great game. Check it out. 10/10

Terminator 2: The Arcade Game is one of the one of the coolest action video games! The characters, the action, and the sure thrill of adventure makes this game a fun non-stop playing time! Below is a brief look how I think the game is!

Game Play: The game play is very good. There is really basic controls here and is easy to perform. Novice gamers should have a good time here!

Graphics: The graphics are wonderful especially for the Arcade, Super Nintendo, and Sega Genesis! The backgrounds are really beautiful!

Difficulty: The game is easy but as it goes on you find out that it will become more difficult!

Music: The music is great! Just fantastic catchy tunes through out the game! In My opinion its some of the best music ever in a video game!
