A good and in all aspects a positive story showing the real meaning of Christmas. IMHO there are a few small glitches caused by Americanism perhaps but in any aspect this movie meets my tough criteria for a movie for kids.
This includes:
* no profanity words
* positive view of the lives of all people (even the poorest)
* pleasant animation unlike many recent and old movies I've watched
* one can help himself and the answer is inside
* good songs

After watching this holiday cartoon, which I really enjoyed surprisingly, I have to say that the story of how Christmas caroling got started was interesting. Three orphan kids come up with an idea how deliver a Christmas gift to the town of Harmony by means of a song.
One key voice you may recognize in this special is Elizabeth Daily who is known for several character voices like Tommy Pickles from Rugrats and one of the Powerpuff Girls. Ted, one of the orphan kids, had a bit of a Tommy Pickles-ish laugh.
I recommend watching this holiday cartoon if you are interested in how Christmas carols came to be. I just hope you don't get tired of hearing that song over and over repeatedly.
