Convenient but that's almost the only positive. Far too sentimental and jumps on whatever zeitgeist is floating about with a sanctimonious self righteousness. Jon Snow should have been put out to pasture long ago. Main reason I watch is betting with friends how many times he'll fluff his lines that episode.

One of the few good sources of news in the UK.

I was a regular watcher of C4 News when I lived in the UK. Now when I return home, I am even more of an admirer of this news bulletin. It is the only evening news programme to ask those in charge the difficult questions. The longer format also means they can spend more time explaining the details, which you need to know. All the journalists and presenters treat the guests fairly but take no nonsense and don't tolerate any party line being trotted out - regardless of which party in in charge. It is what the main BBC News Bulletins should be.
Great news program

Firstly, what on earth is the other review talking about? Channel 4 News is a news program not a film, there's no acting its a news program, there is no shaky camera action unless the camera person is under fire or in a situation.
The music is not stolen and frankly this person is an idiot.
C4N is a great show, it features in depth analysis by its Oxbridge presenters and researchers. Whether it is the Jonathan Dimbleby prize, James Cameron Prize or BAFTA's C4N has it.
No other news program can compete. Importantly it has the respect of the government and its viewers such a relationship means that interviews and directly sourced information is always favoured to C4 News.
Well done to Jon Snow, Samira Ahmed, Brigid, Alex, and Krishnan for excellent work.

Excellent News Programme

Warning: Spoilers
I agree with the above poster; Channel 4's flagship 7.00pm evening news slot is a very well presented and researched programme. Jon Snow is excellent in his role as newscaster/inquisitor, being stubborn without arrogance and entertaining without an excess of 'personality'. He is very much 'the professional'. Not rude like Paxman, but at the same time he is not placatory either.
I like his laid-back style of walking about the studio space, and the multi-camera arrangements that he takes in his stride. Other members also deserve praise. I should particularly like to single-out Zeinab Badawi. No longer there, now; but as well as a fine news-reader she was also the snappiest female dresser in town. Smart, slick and oh-so-professional - without so much as a hint of cleavage (though the lipstick was sometimes a little garish, dear).
