Back at the beginning of July in the daily Briefs, I started the Official snicks Top 100 Lost Hits of The 80's, spotlighting the 100 greatest minor hits of that decade. The songs you don't hear on any 80's nostalgia show. Songs that missed the top ten, or top twenty ... or top forty, and over the last five months I hope some of these forgotten gems may have rung a long dormant bell, or for younger readers, provided a pop music history lesson.
Here is the complete list, including my favorite lost song of the decade. Thank you for taking this 80's road trip with me ... but it's not over yet! I'll be featuring a new Lost Hit once a week in the Wednesday Briefs, so the history lesson will continue!
Let the countdown commence, and remember ... keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars!

Fringe will bring five years of brainy-bizarre and emotionally engaging storytelling to a close this season with an epic yarn that can be summed up in a word: Observageddon. Joshua Jackson couldn’t be more psyched. “The last great untold story we have is the Observers’ story,” says the actor, who plays the temporally displaced alt-reality orphan Peter Bishop on Fox’s Friday night cult fave. “Just from a geek standpoint, going into the future and telling their tale is super-cool. … There’s going to be some knock-your-socks-off revelations.”

To recap... now that summer movie season 2012 is a wrap, we're polling contributors, friends and You about your favorite and least favorite things of the summer. It's just a glass of something light and bubbly to raise, gulp down quickly and bring a little closure before the heavier stuff hits.
In Part 1, we heard from a few good men and here's two more voices for Part 2. Parts 3 and 4 are the podcast this weekend!

Best Movie I Saw All Summer:
I'm surprising myself by answering Magic Mike. It's got more confidence, more imagination and more willingness to let it all hang out than most anything else the studio system produced all year.
Scenes I ♥ So Much I Thought My Heart Would Burst:
1) Natasha's interrogation scene at the beginning of The Avengers-- I've always been wishy-washy...

The Idol block this week was decidedly Jenny’s. Wednesday night found the diva wearing the hottest heels in the universe, and in case you were wondering, she continued the streak last night in a pair of red-soled Louboutins. But truly, her pumps weren’t the story last night in the Idoldome: It was all about her sizzling performance of certified-hit “On the Floor,” as you can see in the photo here. But there was a secret to Jenny’s “Floor’-filled show: Even though the show masqueraded it as otherwise to you television viewers, J.Lo’s singing was totally pretaped.

Unknown isn't the worst movie director Jaume Collet-Serra has made; of the four on his c.v., that honor is shared by the repulsive House of Wax and the laughable Orphan. It is, however, a maddeningly stupid one, built on cheap shocks, idiotic plotting, and some of the worst acting by a female lead outside of the porn industry. There's no accident that it was released to theaters in February, during the time of year when studios are still busy trumpeting last year's award winners and contenders that they fill their winter slots with lowbrow action, unfunny comedies, and grating family fare. The film feels calculated to push every last button of annoyance in a thinking viewer, practically daring you to stand up and shout at the screen, or to beseech the projectionist to just put on something else. Based on the novel Out of My Head by Didier van Cauwelaert,...

No one could make a better identity crisis movie than the master himself, Alfred Hitchcock. From .North by Northwest. to .Vertigo,. the director was in the business of making movies featuring characters losing a sense of personal sameness and historical continuity.
The new identity crisis movie .Unknown. would have benefited from the expert hands of Hitchcock. Instead, what we got is a pedestrian film that was saved by Liam Neeson.s presence.
Although lately, it seems that Neeson has been in the business of making movies where his character has lost something. He lost his daughter in 2009.s .Taken. and with .Unknown,. the actor plays a man who loses his identity.
Neeson stars as Dr. Martin Harris, a botanist attending a biotechnology summit in Berlin with his wife Liz (January Jones). But after losing his briefcase (yes he lost more than his identity in this movie), Martin rushes back to...
