In theaters now is the sequel to the superhit film Yamla Pagla Deewana and it once again features the wonderful iconic Dharmendra as well as sons Bobby and Sunny Deol. Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, directed by Sangeeth Sivan, though a sequel, is not a continuation of the story. It is in fact a completely different film. I do not want to depend on someone else's work! I think that the trend of officially incorporating old songs in today's films, on the positive side, speaks very highly of our past composers and frankly, even my generation. It shows that Shankar-Jaikishan, Kalyanji-Anandji, R.D.Burman, Laxmikant-Pyarelal and others were 100 years ahead of their times and of today's music directors!
