When showing this film, Méliès, using a cafe stunt, would have the actual comedian Paulus sit behind the screen, so as the film was projected, Paulus would sing along, as though the audience was viewing a sound film.
The fourth film in Georges Méliès's "Comedian Paulus Singing" series.
This film and another, both of which featured Paulus singing praises to Georges Ernest Boulanger, a controversial political figure, were designed also to be shown for the cafe stunt but did not merit an English title or a number in Méliès's Star Film Catalogue, due to Méliès being an anti-Boulangist.
