Storyline
Plot Summary |
Daring to tread in the footsteps of Billy Wilder, Paul Morrissey and Andrew Lloyd Webber, Christopher Coppola's tongue-in-cheek spin on SUNSET BOULEVARD stars brother Marc (a ringer for third sibling Nicolas Cage, an executive producer here) as a pizza delivery guy who dreams of recapturing his onetime glory as a child television star. Delivering a pie, he's adopted as protégé and sex toy by a wealthy, retired broadcast executive (Barbara Bain, who starred on the original 1960s MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE series). While this appears to be a stroke of good fortune, it increasingly becomes more of a curse for our hapless hero. Coppola's usual penchant for eccentric casting gives colorful supporting roles to the likes of R&B legend Lou Rawls and scream queen Jennifer Rubin. - Dennis Harvey |
