Wild Night in El Reno (1977)
* 1/2 (out of 4)
This five minute short film is actually the first I've seen from cult filmmaker George Kuchar. I got interested in his films after watching the documentary based on his career so I'm really not sure if this was a good place to start or not. With that said, we basically see different types of weather as well as a few scenes where things are pumped up with the jazz score. I'm not going to lie, this is the type of film that's really got nothing going on in it but I'm sure some people might be able to draw some sort of story of out it. I've read a few reviews of this film and each reviewer got a different "message" out of it so obviously what you see will depend on you. Personally speaking there wasn't nothing awful about the film but at the same time there wasn't much here either. The short running time kept it from being boring but at the same time I really don't think I'd recommend this to anyone.
