A highly significant episode!

I find it hard to believe that I don't see any previous reviews written for this episode "Brigadoom". I also consider it to be the most important episode so far in this story of Lexx. Based upon the enormous amount of work that went into making this episode, original music, the singing and the choreography, I give this episode of rating of 10 out of 10.

Incredible!

This one is Lexx for you in a nutshell. So wonderfully surreal and still, in its own universe makes complete sense. Everything a romantic science fiction fetishist could possibly want, it is just epic.

This episode, partially scripted opera, partially something else, showcases the epic vision of the show creators just slightly before half-way on the episodic journey. Is it comedy, is it farce? Well, whatever else it might be, it can be pretty good medium-tone opera. I am very very impressed with the vision of what the show was meant to express.

This episode also demonstrates the u nderlyingpower of the story thread, which defniteltely persists to the end of the series. If you don't watch the show enough to appreciate just how good this particular 1 hour of low-budget television is, and what it promises....well...I pity you. Because it's fantastic.

Was there worries that their contract would not be renewed? We have seen this with so many TV series. When they are worried that they will all be kicked out on the street they make a show showcasing the diversity of all their talents hoping someone else will hire them. Who remembers when they tried turning the Brady bunch into a pop singing group? This episode got few ratings and those were mostly 10s. I have a feeling that the true sci-fi and Lexx fans figured that this episode was not even worth voting on and these ratings were all from fans of the 1947 musical and the movie that it was made into from which this episode took its name. Except for at the very end, this episode added nothing new to the story of the Lexx or the light universe.
