A praise of the unexpected love...

Andrea del Bocca plays superbly the part of Perla, which is a character that gains instantly our sympathy. The story is intriguing and the mystery of the black pearls' origin is an element that adds further to our interest.

This series is also about the power and grace of the unexpected love, that comes uninvited in your life and leaves nothing as it was. This is captured beautifully in the lyrics of the magnificent theme song "El Amour", who's some lyrics I translate below:

"Love is standing at my doorstep,

wants to come in and sees the door is half-open.

Love, does not know how to wait, doesn't give a warning

It just enters...

I don't know what to do.

I am too afraid even to think about love,

but this love continues to grow every day.

I don't know what to do.

I am too afraid to even think about love,

but, I am already in love - what an irony!"

'Black Pearl'is a movie that caught my interest from the first episodes. The reason is that the movie is very interesting,speaking both about the plot and the way the actors played their roles. Even the title is a kind of intriguing and it is directly related to the movie's plot. The events that happen are focused around the main character, Perla, who is special in her own way. She is beautiful, smart and strong. She does not beg for love but people love her. She faces a lot of problems but her wisdom helps her to cope with everything that seems impossible. No matter how difficult it is for her to hide her identity, she always stays her ground and prays for the best. Perla loves life and she struggles for it with all her soul. She never loses hope when in doubts. She hates when people lie and makes them pay for all the harm they do to the others. Perla loves Charlie but she is not his real mother, and this speaks about her kind and devoted soul. The memory of her friend Eva is and will be always present for Perla as she brings up her child. She deserves a lot, because she offers a lot. So, she finally meets her real parents and her love, who is Charlie's biological father,Thomas. Those who watch this movie can learn many things about life, things which can truly serve them as lessons and examples to be followed.
