After some skate boarding in Macau, we go to a bar for excellent beer glass sliding skills then a bar fight. Cut to a guy with a bird in a park bothered by three punks. Cut to a guy walks into a restaurant. He imagines himself in a fight at a temple. He goes out to a street martial arts demonstration. He joins a guy doing spear techniques to sell medicine but screws up the demonstration. Back to the skate boards. After a quick fight he ends up applying for a job with the guy with the bird. His job is to learn kung fu?
I always begin my reviews with a summary of the opening scenes. Many of these movies have multiple titles that have nothing to do with the story. This way I can verify that we are talking about the same movie. I have summarized about the first 45 minutes of this movie and as you can see nothing resembling an actual story has developed. That happens in this genre. So how about the comedy? The comedy sticks to the basics such as "Your pants fell down! Hah-hah." Some of the fights are also choreographed for comedy.
The fights come down to the warehouse set in the last twenty minutes. Jackie Chan in the early 1980s became the master of the final fight set piece. Previously, final fights all happened on a featureless hill. Jackie created the set piece where elements of the set were used in the fight. This movie does use set elements in the final fights so I give it credit for that but this is basic stuff with not much creativity, Overall I rate this movie as average for the year and genre and suitable only for fans.
