Greek Classic
CineMan-830 October 1999
One of the greek classic comedies. The performances are all first rate. Tzeni Karezi and Dionisis Papayiannopoulos are great as usual. Mary Aroni shines as "Pasta Flora" in the best performance of her career.

One of the funniest Greek films ever made.
Minas-228 November 1999
Jenny Karezi, Dionnisis Papagiannopoulos and Mary Aroni give a superb performance. Considering the limitations of greek productions compared to Hollywood's gargantuan film budgets, this is a true gem that all Greek people are proud of.

one of the best comedies of the greek cinema's golden age

Great actors, in first and second roles, and good dialogue is what made the greek sixties comedies so great, despite basic directing, and mostly standard plots and messages. Here we have Alekos Alexandrakis, as the jeune premier who must put order in the crazy family of his new capricious wife, jenny Karezi, whose dad (Dionysis Papagianopoulos)let's himself carried away by his wife's crazy whims (a delirious performance by Mary Aroni, in the films she is most remembered for).

i wonder how an unsuspected viewer would react to this movie.. for example to the blatantly traditionalist view of family. Let's say for exemple when Dionyssis Papagianopoulos, hits Mary Aroni and it turns out she likes it. Yet this movie is so funny... well if you seen it and aren't greek in origin let me know.

Hilarious!

Golden age of greek cinema at its best! This is a film where the writing of legend Nikos Tsiforos shines right through. The lines, the puns, the silliness, the absurdity, the wit, the class! The cast is top notch as well and all at their prime. These actors not only perform their lines exquisitely, but can even perform without talking, with their eyes! Exceptional performances really. All the above contribute to a masterpiece of a film that stands easily next to golden age of Hollywood comedies.
