STAR RATING: ***** Saturday Night **** Friday Night *** Friday Morning ** Sunday Night * Monday Morning
Noah (Gary Busey) one of the world's most wanted arms dealers, has a multi-million dollar arms transaction that some of the most fierce criminal gangs are desperate to be a part of. A young FBI agent (Gary Daniels) goes undercover to infiltrate the deal and bring Noah down- only to encounter deception and deceit on all sides and discover that no one is who they appear to be.
Cockney action hero wannabe Daniels tried (like many others) to make it big in the action game, only to land himself supporting parts in films like Submerged and leading roles in forgettable video works like Fist of the North Star and this convoluted misfire. He's as wooden an actor as the best of them, and his refusal to drop his noticeable London accent only makes him stick out like a sore thumb more here. But he's really only a very small part of the problem with No Tomorrow. Honestly, what could you expect from a film directed by an (unheard of) rap star? It would seem, a complicated, incomprehensible storyline, a distinct lack of exciting action and a grainy camera style through-out, indicative of it being a video work. But you could also mention a wasted Busey and a ten minute action sequence in which the director and star flatters his own ego by blasting away an entire SWAT team with two handguns and even handing arses on a plate to one or two of them unlucky enough to get into some hand to hand shenanigans with him. One of the few good points, I suppose, is that at least it knows it's place. *
