Entertaining sword fighting movie
Angel_Peter12 January 2019
If you want to see a biography like picture then find another. If you want to see an entertaining yakuza movie with a lot of sword fighting and some comic reliefs then this may be a good choice for you.

The movie and story does not take itself too serious. To be honest I do not know if this character ever lived but if he did then he can at least be happy he have entertained some people in afterlife. The movie is a bit silly at times but for me in a nice way.

Unfortunately the copy I saw was quite bad so I cannot say too much about the camera work but acting seemed quite fine here. Plot is moving along at a good pace so you should not get bored.

The second terrible samurai movies I've ever watched
housearrestedever17 February 2021
Full of comic characters with terrible acting, so exaggerated almost from the very beginning to the end. The duel, the sword fighting scenes are so bad and messy. I couldn't believe this lousy movie had signed up so many famous Japanese actors to make this movie. No depth, shallow, ridiculous storyline. What a horrible movie that rarely existed in the high time of Japanese samurai genre era. Absolutely unwatchable. Avoid at all costs!
