At the age of 10, Stephania Potalivo got a Canadian award for best female lead in this movie. But she was not over there to receive it, so it was sent by mail to her.
The film is the third, independent part of a trilogy about the sibling couple Ida and Skrubsak. The other two films are Buldermanden (1996) and Southern Comfort (1997). The trilogy describes the transition from childhood to puberty.
Ogginoggen (1997) is also the second part of the feature film Little Big Sister (1998).
