Last night, Drake responded to Kendrick Lamar and the rest of rap’s anti-Drizzy cohort — sort of. During a stop on his Big As The What tour in Sunrise, Florida, Drake took a moment to get defiant amid the hysteria about Kendrick’s fiery verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” where the Compton rhymer took aim at Drake and J. Cole by rhyming, “motherfuck the big three, nigga, it’s just big me” (among other shots).
Beyond the Kendrick verse, there’s been speculation that Future and...

For the second consecutive year, Warner Bros. Pictures International has exceeded the coveted $3 billion mark at the international box office. This benchmark comes on the heels of the release of The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies, a production of New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures, which surpassed $400 million at the international box office this weekend and is still going strong.
Nine Warner Bros. Pictures films have exceeded $100 million internationally, topped by Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar (with Paramount Pictures), which has taken in an astounding $467 million outside of the U.S. to date, and Godzilla (with Legendary Pictures), which has earned $327 million overseas.

It's a Gary Oldman sort of week. Yesterday we saw him as Jim Gordon, incapacitated or dying in the teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Now we've got an image of the actor rendered in code on the poster for his fall thriller Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. That film, directed by Tomas Alfredson of Let the Right One In fame, happens to be one of our more anticipated films of the year. (In part because of the cast: Colin Firth, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ciaran Hinds, Mark Strong, Svetlana Khodchenko, Toby Jones, John Hurt, Stephen Graham and Kathy Burke.) Along with that image, we've got the bird-laden one-sheet for Sundance fave Take Shelter as well as a fiery poster for the apocalyptic indie love story Bellflower. Empire [1] has the Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy image, while Movieline [2] premired the Take Shelter poster. [gallery columns="2"] Here's the plot for Tinker,...

"Aunt Juliane is one of those people who feels her place is to help those in her community and family," says Helen Carey of her role in Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway production of Hedda Gabler. "The pitfall is that she can sound saccharine, self-important, advertising her nature, advertising her good deed. It's easy to fall into the trap of sounding not genuine but sanctimonious."Hedda's aunt-in-law is also a bit of a busybody. "Whether the character I'm playing is wearing a black hat or a white hat," Carey says, "I try to give them legitimacy. No one wakes up in the morning and says, 'How am I going to invade someone else's life or ruin someone's day?' They justify their own needs or inclinations. They think they're doing it for the greater good. To give legitimacy to a busy or a needy aunt is the job of the actor.
