The disappearance of a young girl coincides with the arrival of a mysterious woman to a B&B run by Ben Turner. After the girl turns up dead, the woman reveals she is the mother of a girl Ben was accused of murdering many years before.
The police center on Ben after his alibi is shown to be a lie but a worm of doubt creeps into Rachel's mind when she is told by a former superintendent that Ben was framed for her daughter's murder.
Ben's secret comes out when the police begin suspecting Rachel for the murder. The entire town, his friends, and even his wife turn against Ben, but they will all have to work together when his daughter goes missing.
