Old, poor as a homeless gypsy, but with sparkling eyes and a sound laugh...
Strelac2 January 2006
I like this movie. It is rather old, but it has style. And there are many various Yugoslav actors in this movie (later not Yugoslav but some Serbian, some Croatian etc.). Five years later no one could imagine Bata Zivojinovic acting in a same movie with Boris Dvornik, Milena Dravic with Mira Furlan etc. And Gutovic is excellent. The movie does not have some deep story, it is just simple comedy, but it does certain ironic look at the system: Milena Dravic -quote- : (Sve-firme-posluju-neposteno, samo_cemo_mi_da_radimo_posteno! A, NE!) (Meaning: All other firms runs dirty way, only we are going to be straight! No!", and when she calls her friend director "lijepo oko moje" (a Montenegrian who gives her compliment "oh you, my pretty-eye") and when he says: There are many of us, but we are on good positions (meaning all the Montenegrians are directors somewhere and that he can surely help her) which is by no means far from the true state in our companies... So even in new Years 2006 feast I can laugh watching a movie almost 20 years old (like good whiskey), shot with the money that someone spends on a car, with sounds that cartoons would be ashamed of (when Gutovic, dressed as a woman, touches Dvornik's moustaches which repeats several times) etc. And in the end, it is OUR movie, I can understand it, I guess that I would not like some Chinese movie, or Italian, or Mexican, but people that live there would like it and understand better. So if you do not like it, understand me, I am a little emotional about it. Thank you for your time.
