I love this adaptation. The BBC always excels with its Dickens and this one is no exception. It's jammed packed with excellent actors who are all just perfect for their roles, with no-one stealing the show. Bob Hoskins plays Micawber perfectly without overacting the part which other actors have tended to do. I remember first seeing this and thinking that Daniel Radcliffe just had the right face for a Dickens character, he his so cute and winsome. All the other actors are fantastic too, Alun Armstrong, Pauline Quirke, Maggie Smith etc, even Emilia Fox whom I usually cannot stand. I can watch this over and over again.
