This film, as was common with similar newsreel-style documentaries of the period, contains no live sound whatsoever. Everything you hear consists of sound effects added in post-production, from crowd noise and traffic to every kick of the ball. Occasionally when someone on screen can be seen to shout something, gibberish approximating the mouth movements has been dubbed over.
In Lisbon, Portugal, special permission was given for the admission of children under 12 to attend the film's evening performances on Saturdays and before holidays. Eden Theater had an exhibition on the main hall, showing photographs and memorabilia from the football competition, and the special trophy presented by the BBC to Eusébio.
In the Italian version, Nigel Patrick is dubbed by historical football commentator Nando Martellini.
