Although he may be best known for his successful music career, Ice-t is also on the television of millions every Thursday night.
Acting has been in his blood for years, as he had his breakout role in “New Jack City” in 1991, followed by “Surviving the Game” in 1994. However, it was the next year he met the man who changed his TV career. In 1995, Ice-t landed a recurring role as a drug dealer on Dick Wolf’s “New York Undercover,” beginning their professional collaborations. After, he co-created “Players,” with Wolf as the producer, but that didn’t last. So, Wolf gave him a part in 1998’s “Exiled: A Law & Order Movie.”
Two years later, the world was introduced to Odafin “Fin” Tutuola in Season 2 of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” on which he’s appeared in more than 400 episodes.

During the peak of their careers, Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng join Johnnie To’s light farce “Love on a Diet”. The romantic comedy that follows up on To’s “Needing You” (2000) looks more superficial on first sight, but underneath the fat suits and slapstick interludes awaits us a social commentary movie.
Sammi Cheng (“Infernal Affairs” 2002) plays exchange student Mimi Mo from Hong Kong who goes to Japan and falls in love with pianist Kurokawa (Rikiya Kurokawa). Kurokawa leaves to study music in the USA and returns to Japan as a big hit. Meanwhile, Mimi is depressed and compensates her downtimes with food, causing her to gain 200lbs. As Kurokawa returns, he does not recognize her anymore. Mimi meets Fatty (Andy Lau), who motivates her to lose weight in order to fulfill a promise that Mimi and Kurokawa made 10 years ago. But Mimi and Fatso fall in...

Chris Noth Confessed He Told Mariska Hargitay Not to Do Law & Order: Svu: 'Do Some Regional Theatre'
Sorry, Chris Noth, but this is one piece of advice we're all happy Mariska Hargitay did not take!
On Tuesday's episode of Live with Kelly, the former Law & Order star stopped by and told Kelly Ripa and her guest host, Morris Chestnut, 47, that he once tried giving Hargitay career advice before she landed her iconic role on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
"I shouldn't give advice ever," Noth, 61, told the hosts. "She may not remember this, but Mariska Hargitay ... Dick Wolf had us go to a baseball game and he invited Marika and was going to offer this part on Special Victims.

Welcome to the sixth installment of our summer trip through "The Sopranos" season 1. When I revisited early seasons of "The Wire," as well as the whole run of "Deadwood," I did separate versions of each review for newcomers and veterans, but over time realized that the newcomers weren't commenting much, if at all, and that it therefore made sense to simply do one review. Any significant spoilers for episodes beyond the one being reviewed will be contained in a separate section at the end of the review; so long as you avoid that, and the comments, you should be fine. Thoughts on the sixth episode, “Pax Soprana," coming up just as soon as I’m living next door to Gunga Din… “I love you. I’m in love with you. I’m sorry. It’s just the way it is.” -Tony One of the things I've most loved about covering...

Longtime Law & Order and Law & Order: Svu cast member Dann Florek filmed his last episode on Friday. After showrunner Warren Leight Tweeted pics from the set on Florek’s last day (see below), Florek also took to Twitter to send off his 18 years on active duty with the L&O franchise. The veteran originated his role as police captain Don Cragen on the first season of the original Law & Order before departing the show after its third season. Creator Dick Wolf brought Florek’s Cragen back for 1998 TV movie Exiled: A Law & Order Movie before installing him as head of a sex crimes unit in NBC’s 1999 spin-off Svu. He now exits that show after 15 consecutive seasons: Saluting the Captain at the close of his 401st episode — all respect to @dannflorek pic.twitter.com/JDfUJpuYB2 — Warren Leight (@warrenleightTV) December 10, 2013 #MartiniShot #FarewellCragen Job well done @dannflorek pic.twitter.com/ErZ...

Longtime Law & Order fans know the cha-chung, they know the signature location cards, and they most likely know Leslie Hendrix.
The 51-year-old actress has been playing medical examiner Elizabeth Rodgers on the legal franchise for almost two decades. After first appearing on the original tentpole in 1992, she has since recurred on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, the short-lived Law & Order: Trial By Jury and even the 1998 Law & Order TV movie, Exiled.
