If you’ve ever had questions about “Back to the Future,” Kirk Cameron has answers. The actor hosts “The Secrets of the Back to the Future Trilogy,” a behind-the-scenes featurette from 1990 in which the “Growing Pains” star explains the inner workings of Robert Zemeckis’ time-travel franchise.

Cameron, whose more recent work is a bit, um, different, reads letters from fans with a burning desire to know more about the beloved trilogy. The first of these asks whether hoverboards are real and, if not, when they will be; if only time travel itself were real and the concerned fan could visit 2016 to see that hoverboards now kind of sort of are but mostly just catch on fire and hurt people. Cameron uses the question as a segue into the special-effects work that went into the device,...

The Back To The Future trilogy is my favorite trilogy in all of cinema history. Each film works on multiple levels and really reward repeat viewings. The collaboration of talent is a monumental feat and it’s a rare thing to see in Hollywood.
For the 25th Anniversary, the films have been digitally restored for “perfect picture” and the “purest digital sound available,” according to Universal. I was not fortunate enough to see the first film theatrically, but I can wager a guess that the Blu-ray versions look better than the films did in their original theatrical runs.
The Blu-ray release features new interviews with the cast and crew, as well as new documentaries giving you further insight into how difficult it was to make the classic series. You will also get many of the special features from the previous DVD releases, including my personal favorites: the amazingly cheese “Secrets...

First, the raw numbers: this is director and writer Gareth Edwards’ first feature, the movie cost a purported $15,000, internationally speaking the film has grossed over 1.5 million dollars, this is the one film you need to see this fall.
One of the spectacular aspects of a movie that is labeled sci-fi even though we only really glimpse the science of the fiction at the very beginning and then near the end which, really, is the crowning achievement of this little film that could, is that this movie exists at all. Actor Scoot McNairy, last seen in the very sweet and gentile film In Search of a Midnight Kiss, and his co-star Whitney Able are essentially starring in a film where...

This is one of the rare times I wish I didn’t work for HeyUGuys so that I was able to enter this competition! One of the grestest movies of all time is getting the 25th Anniversary treatment, and that movie is Back to the Future. The 25th Anniversary Blu-ray box set trilogy is released 25th October and you can order your copy here. We could give you that as a prize but what we’ve been given something even better. Universal Studios Home Entertainment have been kind enough to give us five copies of the Die Cast Delorean Model + Collector’s Tin to give away. You can click the image above to enlarge and scroll down to see the DeLorean model.
If you’ve never seen Back to the Future or either of it’s sequels, then quite frankly you haven’t lived! Universal Studios Home Entertainment know how...

Hell yeah! The Back to the Future trilogy is finally coming to Blu-Ray and here's the trailer for the must own 25th Anniversary Special edition Blu-ray! The discs will be available for purchase on October 26th 2010.
According to Writer/Producer Bob Gale this Blu-ray collection was well worth the wait:
The HD transfers for all three films are simply breath-taking…They actually look better than they did in the theater because of the incredible job that was done on dirt clean-up. (And the film grain is preserved, so they still look like movies should look.)
Check out the trailer below as well as the full specs of what will be available on the discs. I can't wait to watch this movie on Blu-ray! It will be like watching it for the first time.

Not completely unexpectedly Universal have chosen to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the seminal 80s movie Back to the Future by releasing a Blu-ray trilogy box set.
Now, we’re already sold on this. These films hold up very well today and the first film in particular benefits from one of the tightest screenplays ever, and the chance to see the trials and time travel tribulations of Marty McFly in 21st century high definition is too good to pass up.
Although don’t be too surprised in five year’s time if we don’t see a hologram version of the trilogy, just like that Jaws 19 advert…
Here’s what Coming Soon said will be coming to the discs…
Bonus Features Exclusive To Blu-ray™:
* U-control: Universal’s exclusive signature feature allows viewers to learn more about their favorite film without ever leaving the movie.
o Setups & Payoffs: As you...

On October 26, 2010 Universal Studios Home Entertainment will drop a Blu-ray collection of the Back to the Future trilogy featuring two hours of never-before-seen material.
In the summer of 1985 the first Back to the Future film hit theaters and became an instant hit, eventually going on to be that year's highest-grossing film. Part II and Part III followed in 1989 and 1990, with both sequels shot at the same time but released six months apart. The Back to the Future trilogy has grossed $936 million dollars worldwide and still continues to be remembered by its fans 25 years after Marty McFly first stepped into Doc Brown's time travelling DeLorean.
For the Blu-ray release more than two hours of all new bonus features have been added, including an all-new, six-part retrospective documentary featuring never-before-seen interviews with the cast, crew and filmmakers, including Michael J. Fox, for the definitive Back to the Future experience.

Hey Gang! Universal Pictures is finally going to release Back to the Future trilogy on Blu-ray! They will be sold as a “25th Anniversary Trilogy” and will be available for purchase on October 26th 2010.
I've patiently been waiting for Back to the Future to make its way to Blu-ray, and it looks like the waiting is going to pay off. Writer/Producer Bob Gale had this to say,
The HD transfers for all three films are simply breath-taking…They actually look better than they did in the theater because of the incredible job that was done on dirt clean-up. (And the film grain is preserved, so they still look like movies should look.)
I'm also really looking forward to watching the new documentaries on the making of these films that will come with the Blu-ray collection. Here are the full on Details and Specs for the new Blu-ray trilogy. Check them out below!

On July 3, 1985, history was made. Or, more accurately, re-made. The potent combination of a mad scientist, a lovable loser and angry Libyan terrorists delivered one of the most memorable films of the '80s: "Back to the Future." This Saturday's July 3 happens to be the 25th anniversary of the film's release. To celebrate, NBC Universal has finally announced the hi def treatment that fans have been waiting for: the "Back to the Future" trilogy will arrive on Blu-ray and in an all-new special edition DVD on October 26, 2010.
There are a bunch of awesome new extras to look forward to. Exclusive to the Blu-ray is a half-hour vintage behind-the-scenes special hosted by Leslie Nielson which aired before the first TV screening of the initial movie. There's also the obligatory "newly filmed" retrospective documentary, vintage extras from previous releases, deleted scenes, feature commentaries, a hoverboard test and -- let's face it, the...

Hollywoodnews.com: This is the best news you’ll hear all day. Aside from the now-completed “Toy Story” trilogy, “Back the the Future” is the second-closest bid for movie-making perfection. Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd brilliantly bridged the past and the present for a trio of wildly inventive tales that broke box-office records around the world. And now they are prepared to conquer a new realm: Blu-ray.
These Blu-rays have been on fans’ radars for years. Universal finally has coughed up a solid release date, though. “The Back to the Future 25th Anniversary Trilogy” will debut on Blu-ray on Oct. 26. More than two hours of all new bonus features have been added, including an all-new, six-part retrospective documentary featuring never-before-seen interviews with the cast, crew and filmmakers, including Michael J.
