This movie has a nice twist, and Lowe and Mantegna act fine. But it moved a little slowly, and was one-dimensional in that we spend too much time with the hero, Lowe. I liked the bohemian aspect, though, of the "struggling actors" who drove cabs. The film was just a bit too cold and distant, and I didn't really feel involved. The plot is quite interesting, but the feel of the movie seemed a bit "thin". I can't put my finger on it, but my guess is that maybe the film meandered too much trying to play the sympathy card (lowe's troubles with his wife, his finding out about cancer, the couple's financial troubles and expecting a baby), that it seemed a bit unnecessary. But I still have to give this film a passing 6 because of the original plot, and great acting by Lowe in creating a highly sympathetic character, both of which kept me watching.
