Heeltap Entertainment is developing a feature film about the life of Ernest Hemingway, but with a difference. Distinguishing the project from myriad other Hemingway features in the works, Heeltap is working with the legendary author's surviving son, Patrick. Their claim: It's the first time a Hemingway family member has collaborated creatively on a film about the author's life. The basis for the feature is a story written by John Mulholland with Patrick Hemingway's cooperation, to which Heeltap has optioned the rights. The writer's son also has been involved in Mulholland's upcoming documentary Cooper and Hemingway: The True Gen, about the 20-year friendship between Gary Cooper and Ernest Hemingway.
