History lessons told by Gadget Boy and Heather.
emasterslake23 January 2007
2 years have past since the "Gadget Boy" TV series failed to become an admiring cartoon. This time we see the non-popular Gadget Boy doing time travel. Spydra decides to conquer the world by altering time periods. With the help of her usual henchmen. While Gadget Boy, Heather, & G-9 are assigned to making sure Spydra doesn't destroy the flow of time and history.

The series has the same theme song only with the title "Gadget Boy's Adventures in History". Throughout the 26 episodes, you'll be entertained and educated by the different periods of time they visited and meet famous people. Again it still lacks in animation visuals, plot holes, and fan interest. Done by the same team and the same voice actors. I guess DiC Entertainment thought history lessons could save "Gadget Boy" from being canned. But it's as average & entertaining as the other series.

Both this and the original "Gadget Boy" series probably won't see the light of day anytime soon. Unless DiC has the brains in releasing this along with other highly unappreciated cartoons.

first episode was promising however later episodes of the series just jumped the shark

Warning: Spoilers
When the 1st episode was aired(which was about the moon landing)it was not bad at all & it was promising enough however after that the show just went all the way downhill.& let me explain what the problems were piece by piece.

The 2nd episode was about China's history and really it disappointed me even as a kid back then. The problem was that the people in the past aren't behaving the way they should be behaving in the past. For one they all were speaking fluent English like it was their mother tongue & had no difficulties understanding what both Gadget Boy & his friends/enemies are saying & hence losing the humor. Honestly it would have worked better if they were speaking Chinese if not broken Chinese and Gadget Boy tries to communicate with them in his Gadgety way but ends up humorously like mistranslations or lack of culture knowledge. And then he ties to make amend by defeating his arch nemesis & showing them hes on their side, really anything was better then that.

Really my point is that if you are going to make a cartoon about time travelling, you should consider some degree of consistencies not just breaking some of the rules for the sake of convenience.

And the rest of the episodes just goes with this logic & i lost hope after this. The worst episode was the 1 involving caveman. The cave people once again r speaking with intelligent English instead of the usual "ugga bugga" language we are used to associate with them & they are also are acting very intelligently and very civilized making everything unrealistic and very pathetic.

Even Gadget Boy here is more annoying & unlikable then his previous installment.

Just as i already said in the title this series has really jumped the shark with this & we never heard of this series after this.Honestly the series have potential but the writers screwed it up badly with the problems i stated above.

All in all, one can still hope someone can revive this series & make it awesome once again until then it will stay in the limbo indefinitely.
