A Variation of the October 1970 crisis...
RealLiveClaude7 May 2005
This movie, shot in the 70s, at the time Quebec cinema was revolving into gratuitous sex movies, corny comedies, correct family dramas and political movies, belongs to the latter category...

This story of an innocent would-be photograph and his girlfriend, embroiled into a terrorist group due to a layoff of employees including his father and being arrested illegally by the police is well told despite some flaws.

This terrorist group goes from kidnapping key politicians and scrapping electoral rallies, as well as catching a minister of Parliament in a compromising position. When they kill accidentally three people due to a mistaken bomb scare, they are targeted...

In some way, we see that power is still under the hands of the wealthy and powerful, as well as using the police to stop whatever threat comes out...

However, this movie seems to be shot like a TV movie, so it does not look that bad, however the images seemed way far from the improved cinematography that we enjoy today in Quebec made films...

For the rest, a good way to see how Montreal was in pre-Olympic games days (1974). And see some great actors which most of them, unfortunately, are not with us anymore...
