One more lost gem from Japan
searchanddestroy-118 November 2018
You are lucky to have here Bunta Sugawara and Ken Takakura, in the samr feature, a crime flick with a rather good atmosphere, pulled by good performances and an adequate sound track. A tale of escape and search for a traitor. You have unfortunately to deal with some flashbacks which disturb the script, but not enough, though, to jeopardize the whole movie. There are some bloody gunfights here, especially aboard a train, during the last fifteen minutes. As many other Japanese crime adventure films, it is a question of honor and friendship. An exciting climax.
