Blow job is a black and white film, 35 minutes long and is a single long shot of a young man's face. He looks at times intense, or bored, or in pain. He is wearing a leather jacket but we never see it below the lapels. The film title implies that he is receiving fellatio but it is never seen. There are several version of the film circulating that have been sped up or slowed down. The original has no title, or credits, it begins and ends abruptly. The action is entirely located on the man's face. He occasional touches his face with his hands, and at the end he lights and smokes a cigarette. The lighting of the cigarette signals the end of the sex act and the end of the movie. It is for the audience to speculate if any actual sex act has taken place because nothing but the mans face is ever shown in the frame. The film was first shown in an art house, but later made the usual circulations through art house movie theaters with the caveat that the title was rarely if ever advertised, if you wanted to know the title you had to call the movie theater and ask.
