Good biography of the nun who is the reason we have the Divine Mercy Chaplet

Warning: Spoilers
The movie is based on what we know about the life of Blessed Sister Faustina based on her diary. It's only in Polish though it does have English and Spanish subtitles. This is a good biography of her life. She's awesome and I pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet sometimes! It's nice to know a bit about the nun who had the visions last century that made it possible. I find it interesting to learn how Jesus appears to some people and how he gave us a devotion this wonderful. The actress who played Sister Faustina did a really good job. Overall I give the movie an A+. Good quality, actors, and acting. The only catch is you have to read subtitles.

beautiful

for many Romano-Catholics, the figure, the facts, experience and testimony of Faustyna Kowalska are not unknown. her life is one of the pillars of West Christian popular sensitivity. so, that film reminds old truth. and its fundamental virtue is not to present a biography but to do that in a delicate, gentle, precise manner. story of a meeting, it is not a manifesto or faith demonstration. it is a beautiful confession about the fight of a young nun who transforms her vision about The Savior in the axis of life. the life of her but, more important, the life of her Church. as Greek- Orthodox, I admit, the subject seems be always strange. but the movie has the rare gift to use not only right style to show the story but the right actress, Dorota Segda , who has the science to reflect new nuances to a legendary Catholic saints.than, important thing is the image who reminds the spirit of a lost Central Europe. another good point - the language. because it is a Polish story. not only geographical but spiritual. and the dialog becomes the useful detail for open new dimensions to the portrait of Faustina.

one of many adaptations of a saint life. correct, useful, inspired. more explanation of one of the Romano-Catholic symbols than a religious film in the ordinary rules. because two are the virtues of this movie - the delicacy to explore the events of a Polish nun and her desire to discover the message of the Savior and the elegance of the performance from the lead actress. a film about faith. simple, impressive in a special manner, touching.
