Sex & Nudity

  • A man hiding in a closet witnesses two people having sex but we only hear them (they are loud and passionate and very over-the-top) and see the look of disgust on his face. In a connected scene, another man hides under a bed where a man is on the phone with a woman and dry humps his bed (again in a very over-the-top fashion), moaning loudly. The film cuts between these two scenes with increasing rapidity until cutting to a ship blowing its fog-horn, heavily indicating that both parties climaxed.

Violence & Gore

  • A couple of punches are thrown, but the effect is mostly comedic.
  • A man spends parts of the movie trying to commit suicide though his attempts are thwarted at the last minute in humorous ways.
  • Guns are also fired though no one is ever hit.

Profanity

  • Mostly PG-13 language is used, but one of the main characters repeatedly says the f-word throughout the movie. On a scale of 1-10, I would say that the language content of this movie is a 6 1/2.
  • Some uses of the 'f' word throughout the film.
  • Some very mild curse words are also uttered.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • People smoke and drink in the film.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A man tries to commit suicide multiple times throughout the movie. This is only mildly disturbing, as it is played from a comedic angle.
  • The film is a comedy (farce) but there is a sub-plot involving an anarchist with plans to blow up the boat.
