The asteroid is supposedly rotating in all three dimensions, yet the view of the Earth from the asteroid remains the same.
When they are in the shuttle trying to disarm the bomb, it is the pilot that is telling the munitions specialist, the guy that is supposed to know everything about the bomb, which wires to cut.
When Oscar is riding his horse in the beginning he is riding with a sunset as the backdrop. In a close-up of his face, the background is a bright blue sky.
These events start on a Friday and they say that the asteroid will hit in 18 days, which would be a Tuesday. The shuttle is launched on a Tuesday evening at 6:30pm. It takes about an hour (67min) to get to MIR, 60 hours to get to the moon, 12 min slingshot, 8 hours on the asteroid and about 4 hours (3:57) to earth after zero barrier. This timeline projects the asteroid hitting earth Friday evening around 8pm.
Truman is seen in Florida talking with the astronauts prior to lift-off. From the same command center, he controls the entire mission. But Mission Control for all missions is in Houston, Texas. Once the rocket "clears the tower," Mission Control in Houston takes over. Truman is in Florida, then appears to be in Texas a few seconds later.
It's explained in detail how the impact will cause a horrible freak tide, what it will do, and that one half of mankind will die in the nuclear winter. That's absolutely irrelevant. The asteroid has a diameter "the size of Texas," which means a volume of about 180 million cubic miles. Such an impact is called ELE (Extinction Level Event). A bigger part of the Pacific Ocean would evaporate immediately, so no matter if a wave or not. The earth would become "sterilized." So no life form will live long enough to die in a winter. (So it is nonsensical to compare that impact with the event 65 million years ago. It's much different).
Drillers would never use steel cutters on pipe in a hole with known gas pocket/gas residue. Instead, in a situation with known gas pocket/gas residue, brass cutters are used because they don't spark and therefore wouldn't run the risk of igniting the residual gas from gas pocket.
Fire cannot exist in the vacuum of space. Once the oxygen is either burned up or dissipated the fire would die, this would only take a few seconds.
The surviving space shuttle takes off from the asteroid horizontally, like an airliner taking off from a runway. This is absurd. There is no air to provide lift for the wings, so the shuttle, with its engines providing thrust straight back, would simply trundle along the ground like a car. It doesn't use its maneuvering jets at any time, and they are far too feeble to lift the weight of the shuttle anyway. Nor do they gimbal the main engine, which would lift the shuttle vertically on an axis through the center of the engine; they swoop gracefully into the air after a long take off. Second, they'd have to count on finding a clear length of ground on a debris strewn asteroid.
The Russian space station is an absurdity in itself: initiating a rotation to accommodate artificial gravity would in reality threaten the structural integrity of such a pronged modular craft, and spinning the station before docking would be unpractical, as it renders a normally tricky docking to be nearly impossible since the docking ports are on the external rotating pods. Furthermore, a rotating station would need its docking area along the axis of rotation, plus the docking vessel would have to match that rotation, and match its center of gravity along the docking point approaching along the station's axis of rotation.
As Eddie Griffin was riding into New York, he passes by a few people who are reading the newspaper that is titled "Shuttle Explodes". Sudden headline news that happened after the latest edition of the newspaper is published would be in the next day's newspaper, not the same day. However the newscaster states that the shuttle exploded at approximately 3:34 a.m. EST; as it is clearly midday there is plenty of time to print a newspaper with the info about the explosion on that same day.
The command center's "countdown" clock, goes the zero (at the last second Harry sacrifices himself, blowing up the asteroid), but the asteroid is still far away from Earth. This is because it is NOT counting down till the asteroid hits the Earth, it's counting down till the asteroid reaches "zero barrier", which is the moment Earth cannot be saved, no matter what. (It's also explained in dialog that after the asteroid reaches "zero barrier", in less than four hours it will impact Earth).
NASA head Truman describes the shuttle flight from the space station to the moon will be 60 hours (that's exactly 2.5 days). Later in the film, they reach the moon quickly after flying away from the exploding space station. However, many films are known for 'jumping/skipping forward' in time (than playing in most of the actual time) to keep the audience interested.
When the up link is disconnected, the computer flashes OVERRRIDE - adding an extra R to the word "Override".
After the asteroid fragment hits Paris, there's a long shot showing the crater and totally devastated city. Yet the traffic is still flowing normally along the Arc de Triomphe.
Actually, there 2 vehicles moving. All other traffic has been destroyed or is stopped. This could not, by any stretch of the imagination, be considered "flowing normally."

When deactivating the bomb on the asteroid, the timer reaches 30 seconds. The next shot of the timer has been flipped so that 0:24 seems to read 0:5(backwards h).
When the shuttles launch and again when the nuclear warhead explodes, the flame of the boosters and the bright flash of the warhead are seen through the front windows on the flight deck, when they would have been behind the shuttle(s).
There's grass on the edge of the cliff when the Armadillo finally lands just under the Armadillo while the astronaut's pulling himself up the road, on an airless, waterless asteroid.
Hound says he owes $100,000 to a fat ass loan shark.
The loan shark gave him $100,000 at 60% interest meaning Hound would actually owe him $160,000.

When they are prepping the shuttle to take off from the asteroid, Rockhound is bound & gagged with duct tape, When Lev pulls the tape off his mouth, only the part directly over his mouth is sticky. The tape on Rockhound's right cheek simply falls away; it should have adhered to his cheek.
Colonel Sharp (William Fichtner) opens a secret locker and pulls out a handgun. It seems to be already loaded since he does nothing to it. Apparently this gun has been unsecured inside this quite large locker while they were performing all kinds of flying acrobatics.
While Harry is chasing and shooting at A.J., A.J. is wearing plaid boxer underwear. When he is hit by flying debris, he lifts his left in pan and is shown to be wearing something white underneath, possible boxer brief underwear or a supporter.
At 2:19, after the asteroid is destroyed, there is a short scene showing a large American flag draped in front of a building. The layout of the stars on the flag reflects a 49-star flag as opposed to a 50-star flag.
When they strike oil on the oil rig, Harry scolds AJ, saying, "Number 2 relief valve is wide open," but Harry finishes speaking before the end of the sentence.
When the drill pipes are being removed, after the hole was drilled, they made clanging sounds as they were tossed on the pile. No Atmosphere, No sound.
When the helicopters are chasing Oscar on his horse, a Wescam camera pod can be seen on the lead chopper (only visible in widescreen versions of the movie).
On asteroid, a puff of smoke reveals/reflects shadow of a camera on crane.
The two crews are shown splitting up to walk to and board their respective shuttles. Launch pads 39A and 39B are three miles apart.
When showing the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs, the earth shown has features such as the Florida and Yucatan Peninsulas, which would not have existed 65 million years ago.
Grass is clearly visible at the edge of the cliff when the Armadillo comes to a rest after jumping the canyon.
Johnson Space Center in Houston is labeled as the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
It is not Turkish dialect but Azerbaijani Turkish dialect that is heard in all scenes which are from Istanbul, Turkey. Azerbaijani dialect is dominant in Azerbaijan, not Turkey. Azerbaijani dialect is not used in Turkish broadcasts.
It is presumable that the munitions specialists to supervise the nuclear ordnance would know the full workings of the weapons to include the timers and how to stop the timer through wire cutting. Yet, the Freedom weapons specialist asks Col. Sharp, a pilot, which wire to cut seconds before the timer runs out.
Why didn't A.J., Bear and Lev bring the extra nuclear weapon with them in the Armadillo? They would've been able to drop it in the hole and remote detonate, so Harry wouldn't have had to sacrifice himself to set it off.
It is unlikely the Russian Space Station would happen to be carrying fuel for the two X-71s, especially given the short amount of time NASA had to prepare for the mission and the supposedly "Top Secret" nature of the X-71 program.
When Harry is tasked to manually detonate the bomb which is assumed to be at 802 feet below the surface of the asteroid, the detonation device which he triggers on the surface would require a minimum 802 foot lead to connect to the device; he carries a device with a much, much shorter lead line.
When the second armadillo arrives at the drilling sight and Harry informs NASA of its arrival, the Flight Director tells Grace that her boyfriend is back. He would have no way of knowing if A.J. was on the armadillo or even alive.
The shuttle crews, and even Cosmonaut Andropov, call the Russian space station simply "the Russian space station". Stations have names, such as Mir or Freedom; the names are routinely used to refer to the stations.
In the President's speech he says that 'The Bible calls this day Armageddon'. That is not correct. In John's Revelation 16 verse 16 it says 'And he gathered them on the place which in Hebrew is called Harmageddon'. Even aside from spelling variations, Armageddon is a place, not a point in time.
Whoever is Capcom would identify himself/herself as just "Capcom" or just "Houston", not as "Capcom Houston". (There is only one Capcom, who is always located in Houston.)
When the meteors are about to hit East Asia, and the NASA tech wants to issue a warning, Truman says "Warn who? The entire South Pacific?". The entirety of what is eastern Asia is north of the equator, making it the North Pacific.
Harry's biggest problem with AJ is that AJ is involved with Grace. However he grudgingly accepts it because he has no choice -- AJ is the only man around anywhere near Grace's age. Except he isn't. Oscar is practically the same age as Grace, as Harry even points out in another scene.
