Out of date like the insurance policy

With such a great cast list this should have been brilliant but it took 47 minutes and the incident with the Ford Fiesta before I laughed.

This middle class farce would probably be great at the end of the pier but,on the screen, it loses something (if there was something there at all).

It takes you back to the cosy beige suburban days of Terry And June and Don't Wait Up.

A great actress like Imelda Staunton deserves a medal rather than the cocker spaniel of the year award and Brenda Blethyn's Vera wouldn't have a clue why she did this when she received an Oscar nomination for Secret And Lies.

The highlight is the brilliant Over My Shoulder by Mike And The Mechanics that accompanies the closing titles.

disastrous but hilarious

I watched this movie at 2.00am in the morning, and was feeling really tired when it begun, but 15 minutes into it i was wide awake and in hysterics, the weird thing was, most of the film was made within a house, so making it watchable, must have been a hard job, but also giving it some laughs as well. All the actors were brilliant, and all had there own quirky ways to portray there characters, but the real laughs came from Natalie Walter who also played the exact same person (i am sure) in the TV comedy Babes in the Wood a few years later. Complete with a really wakey cast this is a really funny film.

If there's Rik Mayall It has to be good!

This is a nice comedy...I watched it because I saw that Rik Mayall plays there, and I wasn't disappointed. Of course I did expect some more hilarious action (In the best Rik Mayall manner), and there wasn't much of that...but I thought I should give him a break. It's a shame that many comedy movies that are far worse than this one get more fame. But still, it's a movie with a pretty much "American plot", but with the well known taste of good old British humor. Recommendable for British humor/Rik Mayall fans.
