This very original and entertaining comedy is set in turn of the century Rio. A serious businessman is locked out of his residence, in the buff, and Murphy's Law kicks in. Featuring very Brazilian humor, which plays well universally, THE NAKED MAN follows this guy's exploits through Rio's chaotic traffic and street life. Aided by hilarious performances by famous local comedians, Maria Zilda Bethlem and Lucia Verissimo, this film has been a festival favorite (in Miami, it played at two separate festivals), and is now available on NTSC video. Enjoy it.

Just a good little movie
rgalvao4 March 2002
A good little movie, typical of the renaissance of brazilian cinema, based on a short story by Fernando Sabino. A naked man is locked out of his mistress' apartment, and it brings a series of mishappenings and nonsense situations. The end is a hilarious surprise. Lots of famous brazilian actors have cameos and small parts. A correction: Maria Zilda and Lucia Verissimo are not famous comedians, but dramatic actresses.
