Almost Perfect should have been the name of this show

I LOVED this show! When it went off the air after just one season I was shocked and so bummed because I had not taped every episode. I just figured it would be syndicated one day and watched ad nauseum, but the WB was too new and fragile to let an audience build. Some of the episodes were better than Seinfeld. One of the episodes I recited almost verbatim over the water cooler that week -- it was a complex escalation of scenes involving a man using women's deodorant, people getting caught on camera during a store holdup, and obnoxious car alarms. You had to see it to believe it. Truly an excellent show that would have survived if it had been on Thursday night's Must See TV lineup because it was far better than most of the shows that NBC dumped there.

Unique and Entertaining Comedy

I never thought that I would ever like a comedy on the WB, but this one proved me wrong. It was so funny! Carol is an optomitrist and Renee is her partner. The show focused on them and Carol's crazy family. Her parents, Al and Miriam live in a retirement home and are exceptionally funny. Jessica, their 20 something daughter moved in with them and seems to have skipped middle aged (She was the best thing about the show); Vaughn, their hippie son, was also a riot. The show kept you laughing and it was a unique idea. It was too bad that the WB canceled it after only one season.

Great Show

" Alright, Already " was every bit as good as " Seinfeld ". Carol Leifer was a riot. The stories were sharp and the cast was perfect. It's a shame it was canceled so early. I think it would have grown into a big hit like " Seinfeld " and " Cheers " did.

The WB said "Alright Already" too fast!

What do you get when you cross Lorna Luft with Rhoda Morgenstern? You get Carol Leifer as Carol Lerner in the sitcom "Alright Already". She was sort of a female Jerry Seinfeld. The show was set in Miami & was canceled way too soon. If they had given it a chance, it could've found it's audience. :-(
