Inventive and entertaining movie
a990154810 March 2003
"Tempo" is a really entertaining and inventive Austrian movie about the adventures of young biker-mailboy Jojo. The style is very inventive and full of pop-culture references.

This is the first movie of Stefan Ruzowitzky who later directed the "Anatomie" movies and now got internationally recognized with "The Conterfeiters" who won an Academy Award for best foreign language skills. Also great is the acting, especially Xaver Hutter and Nicolette Krebitz.

"Tempo" is a successful example of an Austrian film targeted for younger audiences.

fast, powerful, amusing

A great study of young Austria between techno and home-sweet-home boredom. Fast and powerful with good actors (Jojo), some really amusing and witty parts (especially the references to daily talk shows) and a lot of things to think about and discuss over a beer after the film. This film shows that reality can always be worse than your daytime fantasies.

fantastic movie

This movie really surprised me...good script and fantastic actors (Nicolette Krebitz was outstanding as always, but Xaver Hutter blew me away with his debut in this film) Try to get hold of a copy, it's definitely worth seeing!
