It's another fairly grand mystery.

An Autumn Shroud, I'll be honest it's a book I have read, but didn't particularly get into, I found the plot rather confused in the text, however it translates pretty well into this adaptation.

You still need to concentrate, as some of the relationships can be a little hard to isolate, but ultimately it's a rewarding watch.

Dalziel and Pascoe have worked very closely so far, so it was good that Andy was given a chance to stretch his grey cells single handedly, using Peter's wedding was a good device.

It's another pretty grand affair, with Dalziel finding himself a guest in a grand house, with a well to do family. Naturally there's a clash with his gruff manner, and their haughty, privileged attitudes.

The acting is pretty good, naturally the star of the show is Francesca Annis, who is very much a cut above. Eternally elegant and the epitomy of sophistication, could I believe that she'd fall for Dalziel?

Solid, 7/10.
