Hmmm, Very Convincing
daveisit4 February 2001
Even though the acting was very convincing, it's very difficult to act as poorly as the "Baywatch" stars. Those in "Babe Watch" put in a remarkable effort.

The script, direction, acting, plot, and the realism of "Babe Watch" are all higher quality than "Baywatch". Yet the amazing thing is, they are trying to be worse. This shows you how difficult it is to make a program as awful as "Baywatch". The scene where mouth to mouth is performed on an unconscious girl with her mouth closed sums up the difference between "Babe Watch" and "Baywatch". In "Baywatch" you couldn't tell her mouth was closed because one of her breasts would have been blocking the cameras view.

Complete nonsense

Warning: Spoilers
I saw this one on Amazon Prime under the title BIKINI ACADEMY, although the original title of BABE WATCH: FORBIDDEN PARODY gives you a lot better idea of what it's really about. It's a straight-up spoof of BAYWATCH, made on a tiny budget and featuring nothing more than a bevy of young blonde actresses running around on a beach in their bikinis. The whole thing is a vapid exercise, extremely tiresome when it comes to the comedy, with lots of corny jokes and juvenile humour. If all the bikini scenes weren't enough, the actresses are also persuaded to strip down for the occasional sex scene.

I thought parodies were meant to be funny

Ostensibly a parody of Bay Watch but it's not funny and doesn't mock Bay Watch effectively. The crappiness of this movie is the joke, I think. Zero plot, poor production values, hammy acting, laughable dialiogue - avoid.

Horrible excuse for a movie, and supposed parody of Baywatch...

(Title on DVD: Bikini Academy, and Babewatch on menu) 1st watched 11/26/2022 (Dir-Rick Sloane): Horrible excuse for a movie, and supposed parody of Baywatch. I think I chuckled one time for some pretty bad joke, but overall there was nothing much here. It begins, of course, on the beach with a good shot of the best looking woman in the piece, in my opinion, bouncing along - but she's just window-dressing for a movie without much talent. A group of nitwits train for open lifeguard spots with an over-rough female trainer in charge. The females care more about being seen as the most-paid-attention-to by the good looking guys than training, and the dudes are literally brain-less. A sexual premise for the movie, but only one sex scene where the woman/man completely dispose of their clothes very quickly but most of the movie is soft-core. It ends with a contest between two teams to determine which three get hired, but nobody really cares who wins at this point. How movies like this get made and paid for is a loss to me. A real disgrace to the movie industry - in my opinion - unless you make it into a full porno flick to get the most out of what you have to work with.

Really funny film

I thought it was a really funny film. Didn't have much of a suspense-type plot, but had a lot of girls bouncing around in bikinis.

Bpico is very dumb
sirriot19 December 2003
he is the dumbest. the movie is not funny nor romantic, it is a tragic saga of homerian proportions. Shakespeare, too. it also emphasizes those things about life which reaffirm the life of an adolescent--breasteses. also it emphasizes the emptiness of soul, testes, and materialism of our present day culture. that is to say, materialism in the ancient greek sense--that all things are of this world and there is no immortal soul.
