One of the greatest TV series Holland has ever produced!

I began following the series when it premiered in 1996. I was hooked on the first episode. What's immediately noticeable about this series is the realism, the splendid dialogue, the great performances of the actors and the overall plot. We've had quite our share of police series in Holland but none of them were as good as Unit 13. I think many fans of the series were struck with disbelieve when the VARA decided in 1998 to cancel the series after a successful third season. The only explanation I can imagine would be the huge costs of the series. It was not often that a series in Holland had tons of effects and amazing locations.

If you ever get the chance to get this series on DVD then I highly recommend to do so, you won't regret it!

Without any doubt the best Dutch TV-series ever.

Unit 13 is without any doubt the best Dutch TV-series ever made. This addictive Police-serie is very realistic, as it shows a Police-team in their race against a high-developed criminal organization. I said a race against, not a hunt for, what makes it more realistic than TV-series like 'Baantje' or 'Derrick'. I always appreciate people who stop their career at their climax, but it really upset me that VARA decided not to continue with a fourth series of UNIT 13.

Netherlands finest!

Without any doubt the best Dutch television series ever. Starring very famous Dutch actors/actresses and also young talents at the beginning of their career. Every part makes you hold your breath for 50 minutes. The theme music by Henny Vrienten is splendid and the criminals are so frustratingly clever you often think there isn't any hope left for Ruard's specialized squad. *****
