I used to watch this show when I was growing up. First off, I must say that it was a game show. Also, I haven't seen every episode. However, if you ask me, it was still a good show. I don't remember the theme song at all, though. Even so, it was fun to listen to people share their love life problems. I hope some network brings it back so I can hear people share their love life problems again. If that happens, I will really happy. Before I wrap this up, I'd like to say that I'll always remember this show in my memory forever, even though I haven't seen every episode. Now, in conclusion, if some network ever brings it back, I hope that you catch it one day before it goes off the air for good.

Another great concept derailed

This show offered everything: Public service, education and comedy. Dr. Drew Pinski provided serious medical information on topics such as sexual relationships, prevention of STDs and even coping with addictions. Adam Corolla offered comedy and even some "average Joe" advice. A variety of female cohosts offered the feminine perspective. So where is this show? Once again MTV, which loves to portray itself as a progressive network, found itself with a solidly entertaining, yet publicly meaningful show and had no clue what to do with it other than to dump it onto the trash heap in order to make room for such widely acclaimed successes as "Cribs" and "Beavis and Butthead". Oh well, if we clutter up the vast wasteland of television with quality shows how will the networks ever make a profit?

This was a kick ass old school show I was young when i watched it. But have to admit they didn't have as good of guests on it as they do now. Mainly because if your going to be on the show you have to be quick. And funny and leave the serious up to Dr. Drew. But all in all a good show I wish it was still on but just like MTV to take a good show. And replace it with stuff like The Real World like these kids know anything about the real world while they live in a big a$$ house. Now MTV doesn't even play music. You have to go to MTV2. The MT3, then 4, soon there will be no MTV. Well at least I can hope. Loveline still kicks but. Listen to it on my IPOD. Think Daniel Tosh should be the new host.

That's the most I have to say about this show. I used to live in a market that carried loveline on the radio, but I didn't have cable to watch it, and now i have cable, but i can't listen to it on the radio. I have been a faithful viewer/listener for a year now, and I wouldn't miss it!
People call in that have had some serious trauma in their past, and depending on how heavy the trauma is, Adam will usually crack a (mildly - once again, depending on the trauma) off color joke or two, and then comes the advice from the almost-always serious Dr. Drew. Watching the show, you'll find yourself almost getting sick of Adam by the end, but at the same time, you'll be laughing at his jokes. Every so often, a sensible piece of advice will come shooting out!
As for Dr. Drew - how can you not like him! To paraphrase what Adam said about him once "He came from a stable home. He had two parents that loved each other and loved him. They made sure he had food to eat every day. They made sure he went to school, and went to college." Can you imagine the world if there were 5 billion more people just like him?
And, Diane...Diane, while being even less qualified than Adam, serves the purpose that she is there to serve, which is adding a female perspective. However, the one thing that I've noticed about her is that she laughs incessantly at ALL of Adams jokes. I think Adam is hilarious, but he isn't a funny as she seems to think he is.
Overall, this show is a benefit to society, and the "generation x" as a whole. If you are watching or listening now, continue. If you've never seen or listened to the show, look it up on the web, find a radio station in your area, and take a listen. If you can't find a radio station, then get MTV and watch it.

Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew are the ultimate duo in talk radio. In, fact I'll just use this to write about the radio show. The TV show is ok, but it just doesn't hold my attention as much as the radio.
The drops played by engineer Anderson are quick-witted and hilarious! My favorite Adam drop is his impression of Tim, the Russian rapper. My favorite Dr. Drew drop is, "Asshole". The guests that come on the show are always cool people, but when are they gonna have Green Day? They talk about having them on all the time.
Sometimes the show can get a little offensive, due to Adam's strong atheist beliefs, or even annoying, like when Adam transforms into Ace Rocolla, the over-the-top radio DJ.
An ironic part about the show is: even though Adam swears a lot, he only uses swear words that are allowed on the air. The sensitive Dr. Drew is the one who often says something that must be bleeped out.
Some of the callers are very stupid, especially ones who wanna stir up trouble with Adam and Drew, but they're never anything they can't handle with humiliation and humor. If you don't already listen to the show live every night, and you can't find anything on TV amongst the summer reruns, find a local station that carries it. It's on from 10pm to 12am (Pacific). The TV show is on weeknights at 12:30am on MTV.

I watch this a few times a week, although it is on late. Drew Pinsky is a "board-certified physician - addiction medicine specialist" and Adam Carolla is the wise-cracking side-kick.
It is hard to take anything Carolla says seriously, although he has delivered some excellent laughs. Dr Drew's wise insights provide an effective counterbalance to Carolla's antics, though Drew has got some of his own back on Carolla from time to time. Surprisingly, though, Carolla does have some excellent suggestions occasionally. And their current co-host Diane Farr, although not qualified, has some valuable input on the behalf of females.
I would seriously recommend this show to teenagers who have any questions about sex, sexuality, abuse, masturbation, STDs and any other serious (or not so serious) issues involving relationships.
Many of the questions seem recycled, but if you are a regular watcher, as I am, you will become familiar with some scenarios or questions, and will try and solve the dilemmas presented before the hosts do.
There has been some incredible input by guests, particularly the episode with Danica McKellar recently. There have been a wide variety of guests. Some I have seen are Alex Kingston (ER), Pamela Anderson, 'N Sync, Mekhi Phifer, Adam Baldwin, Lisa Loeb, Drew Carey, Henry Rollins, Sugar Ray and Everclear.
It is quite funny to watch some of the guests squirm at the questions posed and their reactions to Carolla's mostly off-color jokes. It's also funny to hear advice about sex from celebrities. It gives you an idea about their own attitudes to relationships - much more so than you'll find on a lot of late shows.
These guys are not always on the mark. Only occasionally have I disagreed with their responses and even less felt insulted or outraged by their comments - particularly Carolla. But that's all part of the fun. Carolla gets a kick out of stirring people up.
There have been a couple of episodes that have held me transfixed and even moved me to tears. Some of the real-life situations people endure are incredible. It's so sad to hear about someone that has been hurt so badly in their past, but comforting to hear the warm, solid advice delivered by Drew. On these occasions, thankfully, Carolla knows when to keep his mouth shut. Except for the regular "Don't have any more kids!" to the callers who have come from bad backgrounds and are continuing the cycle in current relationships.
All in all, an informative, funny, serious, thought-provoking show about sex and relationships. A must see at least once.

Very Lame Show With Bad Advise.

I think this is one of saddest shows I've seen on MTV close to Undressed. One episode they had this very stupid guy on who called to tell them he kicked out his is soon-to-be bride and her girlfriend because he found them in bed together at their apartment. Adam and Dr. Drew and everybody cheer for his stupid ass he did know that was a sign to quit watching TV and get to bed with these two. If I was there in the studio on that episode I would insulted that guy so bad that it would make him cry like a baby. Then I ask for his girlfriend phone number.
If this is therapy, I'll take neuroses.

This show must reach somebody given the support for it here. Perhaps an audience composed of the ignorant, indifferent, middling, lost children of baby boomers really deserved a show like this. I find it pretty limp,
Adam Corolla is the type of jackass that should start each day on his knees thanking any deity that his tired ass made it big. Corolla has no ability to focus, a strong need to interrupt, a love of outbursts and an all consuming failure to share the spotlight (microphone) with anyone. His self-regard is pretty revolting. He is the intellectual twin of Colin Quinn and that's not a compliment. He's a giant no-talent who is fast reaching his expiration date.
Dr. Drew is the Margaret Dumont of the sex advice world; the ultimate cypher, absolute zero, a medium shade of gray. A passive dupe who's sold out his professionalism and expertise. He has no idea how to respond to Corolla's outbursts and so adopts an unchallenging & unentertaining neutrality, which is the major clue there's is something deeply wrong with him, psychologically. Help me out Drew; an abusive relationship with my parents is bad, but abusive advise from you and your dumb crony are the way forward... ?
Together the two of them demonstrate what chemistry isn't. The abuse, if not outright hatred, they offer all callers makes them ideal candidates for a Dr. Phil intervention.

Looking for Loveline on DVD.

How can I find the DVD of MTV's Loveline? I been looking for the dvds for along time. I will pay to get it, even if it is copied off of the TV. I have been looking for the dvds for years and can't find them. I miss watching the show. My wife has been getting on me to try to find the DVD series. Like I said i will pay anyone who has the set to sell. I will accept a deal for who ever will sell me the series. So please if anyone has the series to sell or copy for me please let me know. Like I said i have been searching for years. I have found one person who only had one episode, but I want more then just one. I am willing to make anyone a reasonable offer for me to buy it from them.
