Quality Rating: ** (out of 4)
POWER 98 isn't likely to offer many great shakes (unless you haven't seen a movie in like, the last 30 years), yet the screenplay has some occasional ingenuity and the direction glides by the inconsistencies with tact. Jason Gedrick and Jennie Garth are blandly ineffective, but Eric Roberts digs in and manages to give an entertaining performance as a very disturbed, very bad individual. Doesn't make any logical sense in the end. But so what?
