Dated and corny Lina Morgan's vehicle as a roguish nun who executes heists and as a Revista actress
ma-cortes3 July 2017
¨Sister what have you done ?¨ is a so-so but entertaining Spanish comedy about nuns with likable and appealing characterizations by all Spanish-star-cast . Pedro Maso comedy with the sympathetic actress Lina Morgan and a great plethora of Spanish actors . Mediocre but fun comedy dealing with rogue people , swindlers , and heists . It stars Sor Ángela (Lina Morgan) and Sor María (Tote García Ortega) who pull off a bank holdup along with a gang of small-time delinquents (Beatriz Rico , Neus Asensi) . The nuns want the cash to get better their convent in the Monasterio de Lupiana, Guadalajara run by a stiff Superior Mother . But it results to be an utter flop because of the moment the nuns execute the crime , they are double-crossed and the loot is taken by the other thieves . Furthermore , Sor Angela has a twin sister called Trini Montero , a famous Revista Farceur , she is then accused for heist and things go awry . Meanwhile , the religious women are pursued by two Police Inspectors (Luís Fernando Alvés and Jesús Castejón) , but the intelligent nuns demonstrate their escapist skills and taking place bungling operations , confusion and mayhem .

Funny and uneven comedy , appointed for all kind of public about a silly premise : a botcher duo of nuns : Morgan and Ortega , carry out tiny robbing to finance their poor convent , while being chased by Police . It takes a simple concept , a band formed by two nuns and other shameless delinquents execute a bank robbing , but happenings get awry . The picture deals with hold-up , thefts and tricks in similar style to classical films of Commedia all'Italiana of the fifties and Spanish comedies if the sixties . It follows the wake of known films as ¨Los Tramposos¨, ¨Atraco a Las Tres¨, and "They Who Play the Piano" . This flick is a comical and sometimes disconcerting account of two nuns from an economic perspective , because needing all of them , urgently , amount of money to resolve the problematic existence of a convent about to an eviction . Here there are great amusement , some nice jokes , comical sketches and the cast plays eccentric characters . It is a nutty Spanish comedy that offers no intellectual stimulus whatsoever , though it has some attractive and hilarious moments . The film attempts to give laughs but it falls short , resulting in a mediocre and sometimes embarrassing film . Bemusing story with enjoyable but also absurd moments and charming acting by a likable comedian : Lina Morgan , showing some Revista numbers in her successful theatre La Latina , Madrid . An enticing but disconcerting Spanish comedy film and with its ups and downs ; here our protagonist , the great Lina Morgan , provides her real comical entertainment . The movies Lina played were funny and with numerous support actors . The films were with short budget and lackluster but including comedy and lots of fun , and many of them directed by Mariano Ozores , Pedro Lazaga or Pedro Masó . Lina was a famous actress , she starred successful films , such as : ¨La Tonta Del Bote¨, ¨La Graduada¨ , ¨La Descarrida¨, ¨Fin Semana Al Desnudo¨ , ¨Pecados De Una Chica Decente ¨ , ¨Una Pareja Distinta¨ , ¨Esta Es Lo Que Es¨, ¨Un Dia con Sergio¨, ¨Imposible Para Una Solterona¨ , and several others . Being specially known for his TV series such as ¨Hostal Royal Manzanares (1996), Una De Dos (1998) and Academia Baile Gloria (2001) , but she left ¨Escenas De Matrimonio¨ three weeks after joining the cast , due to health problems until her death in 2015 . Supporting cast is plenty of familiar faces such as : Auroa Bautista , Emiliano Redondo , Manolo Codeso , Josep Maria Pou , Pilar Bardem , Marisa Porcel , Manolo Royo , Paca Gavaldón , Pedro Valentin , Francisco Merino , Javier Escrivá and the TV presenter Joaquín Prat and many others .

This one is an average picture , being middlingly directed by Pedro Masó in his usual style and had enough success in the Spanish box office . He was a writer/producer and director , especially known for La Coquito (1977), Atraco a Las Tres (1962) and El Turismo Es Un Gran Invento (1968). Many actors and technicians worked and ate thanks to the huge success of his films . Those contained entertaining stories , dramas , and great number of comedies with many nude girls , laughs and slapstick . Pedro was a craftsman producer/filmmaker and writer , in fact he wrote a lot of scripts in his long and fruitful career . These films are filled with humor that still holds up , especially for those not easily offended ; being sometimes cheesy and gross-out with numerous naughty and picaresque situations such as sex jokes , adulteries , crazy events , absurd situations , jealousy , and erotic scenes . Plus , they partially reflected the mood and the reality of Spain during Francoist epoch and in the immediate Post-Franco era , dealing with politic juncture about the post-Franquismo in similar style to other films from this period . Pedro worked with notorious actors as José Luis López Vázquez , Alberto Closas , Tony Leblanc , Manolo Gómez Bur , Paco Martínez Soria and several others . Pedro got a prolific career , as a writer and as a director , especially in comedy genre , as he directed : Puente Aéreo 1981 , 127 Millones Libres Impuestos 1980 , El Divorcio Que Viene 1979 , La Familia Bien Gracias , La Miel 1979 , La Coquito 1977 , La Menor 1976 , Las Adolescentes 1975 , Un Hombre Como Los Demás 1974 , Una Chica y Un Señor 1974 , Experiencia Prematrimonial 1972 , Las Colocadas 1972 and Las Ibéricas F.C. 1971
