Gabrielle Union added a new face to the hit TV series Friends when she made a guest appearance on the sitcom. However, she felt she wasn’t treated in a way an actor of her caliber deserved to be.

Union made a bit of history when she first appeared on Friends. She was the first African American actor to appear on the show, which she featured in after being on another television series.
“City Of Angels got cancelled that Monday and on Tuesday I got the call to see if I’d be willing to do friends. To me it was just another check,” Union once said according to Black Film.
While on set, Union went on to assert that she wasn’t intimidated by the cast’s legacy or its makeup in the slightest.

Martin Lawrence is returning for a sequel to his 1999 action comedy Blue Streak.
In what might just be the most out of left field sequel news we’ve reported this year, Martin Lawrence police comedy Blue Streak is getting a follow up, 25 years after the original.
Deadline has revealed that a sequel is in development at Sony. Lawrence is onboard as star and a producer through his company Run Tel Dat. The script has been written by Cole Maliska, but there’s currently no word on who might direct.
If you need a refresher, the original Blue Streak was inspired by, of all things, the 1965 Sid James and Dick Emery film The Big Job. It saw Lawrence play Miles, a jewel thief who disguises himself as a policeman in order to steal diamonds, but ends up being partnered with actual cop, Detective Carlson, played by Luke Wilson. Shenanigans ensue, and...

Did somebody order a pizza? Martin Lawrence and Sony are keeping the good times rolling after the success of Bad Boys: Ride or Die with a sequel to Lawrence’s 1999 comedy Blue Streak. According to Deadline the surprise project is in the early stages of development at Sony Pictures, with Cole Masika penning the screenplay. In addition to reprising his role as Miles Logan, the jewel thief turned police officer from the 1999 buddy comedy Martin Lawrence is producing via his Run Tel Dat production company—Robert Lawrence, Rae Proctor, and Stacy Lyles are also producing, with Toby Jaffe producing through Rdv Films.
Les Mayfield directed 1999’s Blue Streak, featuring Martin Lawrence as a former convict who becomes a police officer to gain access to a diamond he hid before his incarceration. Because it’s the ’90s, Martin packs the film with signature humor, disguises, outlandish characters, and off-color observations. Comedians...

Masashi Kishimoto, the genius behind the long-standing legendary anime Naruto, is a true action film nerd himself. His love for films, particularly action ones, has greatly influenced the style of Naruto. Many of his sources come from classic action directors and one such name is Michael Bay. The director is known for his explosive films like Transformers and Bad Boys, and Kishimoto somehow drew inspiration from some techniques Bay uses.

Bay’s signature cinematography had intrigued Kishimoto into trying it out for the storytelling aspect of Naruto, but he dubbed it quite challenging to execute. Michael Bay isn’t the only director who influenced Naruto, and you can see how much Kishimoto truly appreciates films.

Some movies take circuitous routes to production. It all, as we like to say, starts on the page, and sometimes all you have on that page is a pitch -- a basic idea centered on a killer hook. And that pitch can go through various permutations as different producers, writers, directors, and stars become attached and unattached. Take "Bad Boys" for instance. Long before Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer teamed up-and-coming filmmaker Michael Bay with the then unproven-at-the-box-office duo of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, the project was intended to be a broad two-hander comedy starring "Saturday Night Live" veterans Dana Carvey and Jon Lovitz. Hard to imagine a four-film-and-counting franchise blossoming out of that.
Something in the same vein almost happened with Michael Mann's "Collateral." The moody Los Angeles thriller starring Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx is considered by many to be one of the director's finest films...

Gabrielle Union’s most high profile relationship might be with current husband Dywane Wade. But before marrying the NBA star, Union was involved in another relationship that didn’t last nearly as long.

Union might be the first to admit that she made more than a few mistakes with her first marriage. She met Chris Howard, who was a former running back for the Jacksonville, Jaguars, at a 1999 party in Jacksonville, Florida. Two years later, they were married.
It was a very short commitment for both, however, as they divorced in 2006. During their five years together, their marriage was far from an ideal one. In a very candid interview on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Union discussed that infidelity soon became a silent part in their relationship. Union also quipped,...

Will Smith is one of the most recognized actors in Hollywood. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star began his career as a rapper and then went on to star in his own sitcom. Smith graduated to the movies and had his breakout as an action star with films like Bad Boys, Independence Day, and Men in Black.
Smith’s son Jaden Smith has also made his mark as an actor and a musician. The Grammy-nominated rapper is probably best known for his role in 2010’s The Karate Kid, a loose remake of the original that starred Jackie Chan in the lead role. Starring in one of the best television shows in history is both a privilege and a challenge, and this is why Breaking Bad actor Raymond Cruz decided to leave the show for his own mental sanity. Smith and Lawrence welcomed a new member to the Bad Boys family after Union entered the franchise. She famously played Lawrence’s sister Sydney Burnet in the hit film. And since Bad Boys isn’t the same without its weaponry, Union had to learn to work a gun in order to hang with her co-stars.
“Well, the boys worked for about a week before I got there. I got to come in on the following Sunday and got briefed on weapons training. You learned how to shoot all the different weapons.

Will Smith was once known as one of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster action stars. The actor was well aware of his standing in the genre. At the same time, he was very much concerned about aging out of those kinds of roles.

Smith’s path to movie stardom initially began with action movies. As an actor, he was steadily building his portfolio back in the 90s in works like Six Degrees of Separation and Fresh Prince of Belair. But Bad Boys was the start of Smith becoming the blockbuster star he’d later become. It was something he owed to filmmaker Michael Bay for insisting that he run around shirtless in the movie for this now iconic scene.

Bad Boys: Ride or Die (Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah)
Bad Boys: Ride or Die is a film about retribution and redemption. Not just on screen, but in execution. After their last attempt at a blockbuster was shelved in the name of a tax loophole, directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah seem intent on unleashing all their pent-up energy, whether they’re selling us Batgirls or Bad Boys. Even if it bears the baggage of a meta redemption arc for its star, Ride or Die brings enough stylistic gusto to its action in the absence of Michael Bay but has a hard time justifying most other decisions, which adopt the tedium rampant in modern blockbuster filmmaking. – Conor O. Will Smith’s life has not been the same since the infamous slap heard around the world. The actor had what was supposed to be the greatest moment in his career turn into a controversy that has not gotten off his back since then. The King Richard star slapped Chris Rock on the Oscars stage in 2022 and went on to win Best Actor on the same night.
Smith’s slap was preceded by Rock making a joke about the former’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia. As a funny retaliation of sorts for going after a comedian, stand-up comic Andrew Schulz put out a brutal roast, making so many jokes about Smith and Pinkett Smith that the actor would have wished he moved on from Chris Rock’s ‘GI Jane’ joke.

Will Smith, for his many flaws and faults in recent years, had one of the most colorful lives out of all the celebrities that inhabit the glittery Tinsel Town on Sunset Boulevard. However, not every turn of his life was as filled with potential and optimism. No one, let alone a child, deserves to survive what Smith had to go through while living with his parents.

Will Smith is known to deliver blockbuster hits, but after a minor roadblock along the way (or should we say a ‘slap’), the actor fell from the good graces of fans and Hollywood. But he is back and as strong as ever, given the recent success of Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Taking one step further to reclaim his career, he could be potentially collaborating with Michael Bay, if all things go right.

A collaboration that will undeniably have a lot of action, it seems a bit similar to Henry Cavill’s $200 million disaster film, which left audiences underwhelmed. While Cavill’s film faltered despite its massive budget, Will Smith’s potential upcoming action-packed flick seems poised to take a different route, possibly making it yet another blockbuster in Smith’s filmography.

Blockbuster action director Michael Bay and Will Smith are set to reunite for Netflix film Fast And Loose. Here are the details.
Having previously collaborated fruitfully on the Bad Boys franchise in the 1990s and early 2000s, Will Smith and Michael Bay are finally reuniting for a new movie. It’s an action thriller called Fast And Loose, which is being made for Netflix.
It’s Smith and Bay’s first film together for two decades, and sounds an awful lot like 1990’s Total Recall but with the bits on Mars taken out.
The synopsis, via Deadline, reads as follows:
A man wakes up in Tijuana with no memories. As he pieces together his past, he learns he’s been living two lives: one as a crime kingpin and the other as an undercover CIA agent.
Despite the well publicised events at the Oscars a few years ago, Will Smith...

The dream team has finally been reunited and it's never felt like such a thrill. After Will Smith and Martin Lawrence joined forces once again for this year's surprisingly good "Bad Boys: Ride or Die," the former is set to reunite with one of the most brazen and unapologetically chaotic action filmmakers around -- and for a new original idea, to boot. The man who started the "Bad Boys" franchise in the first place, Michael Bay, is currently "in talks" to direct a movie known as "Fast and Loose" with Smith already slated to star. The exciting news was confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, marking the first Bay/Smith collaboration since 2003's "Bad Boys II."
Now, if that title sounds familiar to you, that's because we previously reported on the production back when it was meant to be helmed by "Deadpool 2" and "Bullet Train" director David Leitch. He parted...

You know what they say, where there's a Will there's a Bay! While Martin Lawrence became a huge star with films like Bad Boys and shows like What’s Happening Now!!, it was the sitcom Martin that made him a household name. The TV show centered on the eponymous DJ, who worked in a radio station, and the shenanigans that happened to him. His girlfriend, and later wife, was played by Tisha Campbell.
Campbell reportedly left the series in the final season, after suing both Lawrence and the producers. The charges on Lawrence allegedly included s*xual harassment and intolerable working conditions. Though she returned for the series finale in season 5, Campbell reportedly had a clause that forbade Lawrence from coming to his set.

Michael Bay is in talks to direct Will Smith in the Netflix action film Fast and Loose, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Joker: Folie a Deux has been receiving some of the harshest criticisms since its release last week. The WB movie is the sequel to the 2019 Joker, and both these films have received a drastic reception at the box office. Since it has only been a few days since Joker 2 came out, let’s compare the latest film’s budget and debut weekend with its predecessor. Keep scrolling for the deets.
Initially, Joker was made as a standalone film intended to launch a DC Black film series. However, director Todd Phillips later expressed his desire to make a sequel, which eventually materialized. The first film was a massive success, and it earned Joaquin Phoenix his first Academy Award for his outstanding performance in the dark role.

Hold onto your magic wands! The MCU’s most powerful sorcerer may return to theaters sooner than expected. Jeff Sneider revealed that Marvel Studios “all but closed a deal” for Sam Raimi to direct a third Doctor Strange film. Raimi, who directed Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, may direct again, and we’re excited!
Truthfully, Doctor Strange’s 3 details are hazy. This is the first concrete hint of our favorite sorcerer’s upcoming journey since Multiverse of Madness. We don’t know when or what it will be about. As Cumberbatch has hinted, Doctor Strange 3 may sneak in between Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027 and Avengers: Doomsday in May 2026.
What can we expect? The new film may pick up after Multiverse of Madness’ big cliffhanger if they are authentic. Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and Charlize Theron’s Clea faced cosmic turmoil.

Forget Will Smith’s infamous fart story that cleared a set for three hours—Tommy Lee Jones brought his own brand of chaos to Men in Black. While Smith’s gas incident might’ve been a literal stink bomb, Jones’ tough-guy attitude made things pretty tense behind the scenes. Known for being a no-nonsense guy, Tommy didn’t exactly vibe with the film’s lighthearted tone, and that clash made filming Men in Black a little more challenging than expected.

Crew members quickly realized that dealing with Jones wasn’t as easy as erasing memories with a neuralyzer. As much as fans loved the on-screen duo, working with them? Well, that was a whole different story.

Will Smith became an A-lister in the ‘90s when he continuously gave hits such as Bad Boys, Independence Day, and Men in Black. The latter was a huge commercial success, and Smith was established as a bankable Hollywood superstar, despite all three films having a co-lead actor.
Smith then made the Wester-sci-fi comedy Wild Wild West with his Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld. Though it has a cult following now, the film was a box-office disaster upon release. It was one of the most expensive films ever made. Sonnenfeld reflected in his book why it did not work, and the reason was reportedly Kevin Kline.

If you're a fan of Clint Eastwood the filmmaker, and how can you not be, it's been a rough stretch. Your mileage may vary, but I don't think he's made a truly great movie since the wildly underrated (and underseen) "Letters from Iwo Jima." I've warmed to "Gran Torino" over the years, but after that the movies –- even the mostly good ones –- have been marked by indifferent craftsmanship (who can forget Bradley Cooper making the fake baby's arm move in what was supposed to be one of the most emotionally charged scenes in "American Sniper").
We know Eastwood is renowned for delivering movies ahead of schedule and under budget, so it was hard not to conclude that his drive to keep working, to keep moving, to keep from doing nothing as he passed into his nineties (he's currently 94) was more important to him than making a finely wrought film.
