Sex & Nudity

  • During the wedding night sex scene, the husband touches the wife's crotch through clothing. There is no male or female nudity.
  • A man having sex with a prostitute in some alley on the street at night , thrusting is obvious but they still have their clothes on, the scene is dim and lasts a few seconds.
  • When the Monster first lives, male nudity is shown (his backside along with some brief frontal images)

Violence & Gore

  • The creature bumps a man on a door.
  • A woman gives birth and dies. Blood is seen.
  • There is a part where autopsy on a human is shown mostly offscreen. Nothing graphic.
  • The monster attacks and kills a person, pulling out the victim's heart with bare fists. The very bloody corpse is shown.
  • Someone commits suicide by holding a lamp overhead and breaking it, becoming engulfed in flames (not gory but extremely unnerving).
  • The monster has a lot of stitches and scars on its body.
  • A person is killed offscreen. We hear flesh tearing (nothing is shown).
  • A kid came across the Monster and later runs away but killed offscreen.

Violence & Gore

  • The creature snatches Elizabeth's heart out of the chest. The heart is seen pumping blood and the wound is briefly shown as she is killed. Quite graphic. But Frankenstein resurrects her after.
  • A woman gets grabbed by a bunch of men and is being hung. They push her off the cliff as she falls and the neck crack is heard.
  • Elizabeth commits suicide by setting herself on fire which causes the whole house to burn. She is seen jumping off the stairs to her death.
  • The creature sacrifices himself with his creator, Victor Frankenstein who is already dead by fire.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A woman is being shown being hanged by many crazy men.
  • The creature kills Elizabeth by snatching her heart out of her chest.
  • As Elizabeth is resurrected, she is shown with stitches and a burned head.
  • Frankenstein's mother dies from childbirth. Blood is seen.
  • Victor Frankenstein dies.
