- Sexual conversation. Some of it quite crude. It is mentioned that a man hires an ugly prostitute to win the dogfight.
- We see Birdlace and Rose in bed together. He starts to unbutton her top and it is implied that they sleep together offscreen.
- Soldiers are seen in a porn theater. There are breasts and butt shown in the movie on the screen and two characters receive oral sex from a woman in the seats.

- A brief scene in Vietnam that involves American soldiers being mortared and Birdlace being injured. The scene is not all that bloody but it is intense and it is implied that several supporting characters are killed offscreen.
