George Clooney has referred to the show as a particular low point in his career. He took the opportunity to exit as soon as it appeared.
The show went through three lead actresses. Connie Sellecca dropped out after a few episodes were taped. She was replaced by Julia Duffy, and the episodes were re-taped. Duffy left after the first season, and Mary Page Keller took over in the final season.
The original title, "Look Who's Talking", was changed to avoid confusion with Look Who's Talking Too (1990), which was still in theaters.
In the first season, Maggie lived in Brooklyn. In the second season, she moved to Manhattan.
